OT: Friday "What are You Listening To?" Thread

Submitted by icefins26 on

It's been awhile since we've had an off-topic music thread (and switching it up from the drinking threads), so here goes:

I'm on a huge Dawes, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and Alabama Shakes kick.

What is everyone listening to on this fine Friday?

Cheers.

At first I thought "Dawes, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and Alabama Shakes" was a single band name, which would be rather epic.

Still can't stop listening to Sufjan's Age of Adz, personally.

New Dirty Projectors album Swing Lo Magellan.  Saw them in Brooklyn 3 weeks ago and haven't stopped listening ever since.

Also passing the time with some Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Kishi Bashi, and Sufjan as well

Nas has fell off a little as of late so its good to see him bouncing back and putting some quality music out there. Illmatic is a 5* classic that even I being what age I was when it initially came out had to go listen to and I'm glad I did.

Giving a little love to No Use For A Name, as their lead singer recently passed away at the young age of 41.

That, and Tenacious D's new album. For those of you who have heard it, do you think of the Ohio River when Jack Black sings "Rivers of Brown"?
