Part of an interview with Green from the link;

"From last night, when I did talk with Derrick, we also had the following exchange, which I did not post yesterday for fear of building the hype a bit too much:

Me: You gonna head up to Michigan any earlier now that Ohio State is out?

Derrick: Yes, I'll be there Friday

Me: Staying three nights now?

Derrick: Yes

Me: Any chance of something big happening this weekend? Gotta ask (lol)

Derrick: Maybe, and I think they (Ohio State I'm assuming) knew it. "

F5's at the ready men.

With all these man-beasts being assembled, when future opponents talk about "leaving it all out on the field", they'll be referring to their own blood and body parts.

I agree with that outlook.  Treadwell and Green are both elite skill position players which we are a little thin with in this class.  I wonder if the fact that the coaches called McQuay and put a little pressure on him to commit before this weekend means that they feel they have a need for another safety more than they have a need for another RB.  I know this spot is all about BPA but I always assumed that Green was a higher perceived recruit than McQuay.  Maybe not.  I would be thrilled with either of them.

Michigan clearly wanted another RB, but I think it's pretty clear they also wanted another DB. Both are about equal talent, so the coaches were telling LM3 that he needed to decide to. IMO, there is only really one open spot for BPA. The other spot is for WR (and possibly LT or bank it), this is the only true best player available slot.

I love how a big name pops up and is visiting and everyone considers him a lock or Michigan lean.  This is far from over.

People feed off of other peoples positivity and end up disapointed.  I hope we land Green, but  I wouldn't listen to a blog posters opinion of the situation.  If i've learned anything from recruiting, don't develope an attachment to a highly ranked player just because he's visiting.

Half of the post is speculation and justfying why he thinks the kid will commit.  I respect tremendous and think they do a great job, I just think they hype up these gullible optimistic fans a little too much.

Oh Derrick Green will be in AA for 3 days? He's definitely going to Michigan!

If he doesn't commit, I will have to hear his name in every recrruiting thread for the next 2 years.

All of this aside, I think he's a beast.  and I will personally apologize to Tremendous and everyone else if he commits any time soon.

My seat belt?  I'm the kind of guy that wears it but puts the strap behind my back so no one can see I'm wearing it.  Don't get me wrong, I really really hope he commits this weekend.  But I wouldn't even call Green a Michigan lean at this point.  My opinion matters less than someone who interacts with players, obviousely.  But after following recruiting for 4 years, we tend to get a little too attached to any 4/5* guy that pays us a visit.

Whatever, who am I kidding, Green will probably commit this weekend.

Did you even read the interview? there wasn't really an opinion given on the situation. Just layed out the interview and let you connect the dots (which, evidently you couldn't do). Obviously, you can't expect every big time prospect to commit when they visit. But when they are asked if "something big" may happen on the weekend they are visiting, and their reply is "maybe, I think they (Ohio, the team we were kind of competing with for his services) knew it," I think you can forgive us for being a little excited.

Someone says something like that on almost every thread about good recruiting news. And every time I feel dirty just reading it. I'm the last person to THINK OF THE CHILDREN, but with the amount of real shit recruits put up with from overly intense fans (including actual pedos- hi OSU) these comments just aren't funny.
