Tremendous: More on Derrick Green
According to "Tremendous" Derrick Green's visit may be much more just a courtesy call. No guarantees or gut feelings, but "there's a lot of smoke building with this situation".
Check it out:

Ok, that's just weird.
He'll be all UM because he is butt hurt at OhioSt. and wants them to pay for their insolence.
If he's butthurt over osu, it's only because he didn't get the chance to tell Urban, thanks, but no thanks.
I wouldn't care if he is all butthurt. Maybe he'll make them pay for their insolence by averaging 2,000 yards/yr for 4 years and bust Biatkabutuka's single game record by hitting the Bucks for 400!!
I'd have to say that if he averaged 2k a year for 3 years, there wouldn't be a 4th year. But I'd totally be ok with that!
I guess I didn't give that much thought. Actually there may not be a second year if he hit 2k in year one. Not sure how I'd feel about that, unless they run the table.
You can't declare for the draft until after your 3rd year out of high school...
Thanks for the refresher. For some reason I thought Adrian Peterson came out after his freshman year, but I guess that was because he got hurt the next two.
Yeah, I'm getting pretty sick of all these football players being one-and-done type players. None of the good ones are staying 3-4 years anymore. They should implement a rule where an athlete must be out of high school for 3 years before being able to play in the NFL...
I'll concede that Biakabutuka holds the tsiO single-game record, but the single-game rushing record belongs to Ron Johnson.
I would, of course, love to be able to say I was at the game where that record was broken.
I was actually referring to the single game rushing record according to the "TallyWolverine's Guide to Modern Michigan Football Statistics for Floridians 1975-Present." It hasn't exactly been flying off the shelves as much as i expected.
D Green wore a maize and blue colored adidas tank top for his Alabama visit. Just saying.
After striking out the last several years on elite backs I would love to land Green. Except I just don't see him committing this weekend. There's good evidence of something possibly brewing. But him only having been here once before, without talking to Coach Hoke, I don't see how he could have enough confidence in Michigan to pull the trigger. But I'd love nothing better for someone to end up telling me this weekend, 'I told you so'.
That's the thing that is promising in my opinion. He's only been here once and never spoke to Coach Hoke in person and still has us that high on his list. I know he has said in a couple different articles how excited he is to be able to talk to Hoke in person. These factors all coming together could seal the deal theoretically this weekend. Here's to hoping!
He's only narrowed his list to 13.
Agree with brown bear, Green has consistently stated all through his recruitment that he wants to get back to Michigan to talk to coach Hoke. If that's all he's going to need to seal the deal, then I think we're looking good.
Troll harder. It's a great value to the board.
At least this time he included a picture!
Next time, maybe it'll be a GIF.
You are a great contributor to the site. Your presence ensures that I can leave the site for 3 weeks, come back and read three of your comments, and I will be all caught up with what happened on the board. Sure its always trite and never unique, creative, or insightful; But summarization and reiteration does have value.

Insulted? No, I'm actually flattered to have an MGoStalker.
This is the least comical post I've ever read from you.
However, due to the fact that I agree with your assessment on Green and that I now realize you are in fact human... upvote complete.
He's probably not old enough to be President yet.
As a few of you have said, tempering expectations with Green is the best move. I've followed his recruitment for over a year an he never fails to rave about schools to their fan blogs. At various points Bama, UM, OSU, Clemson, Oklahoma, Auburn, Va Tech and I think one or two more have been believed to be leaders. I'm not saying you guys won't get him, but he's playing the recruiting game more than almost anyone this year. Also, I can't be 100% positive, but some of his comments are that of a mad teenager who's childhood favorite school just told him they are going in a different direction.
I'm going to take your advice and temper my expectations. I am going to go about my business as usual and not check back in until signing day with the understanding that Green HAS committed to Michigan.
It is interesting that Urb waited until a potential commitment to stop recruiting. Guess it won't be a head to head loss then?
Or perhaps he knew they wouldn't be able to land him anyway, and just wanted to save face - they seem to have many non-commitable offers, especially those which U-M lands.
For a dream wrapped inside an enigma, wrapped inside rumors, balanced on the whims of a teenager, it's pretty appealing....
If I've heard that once, I've heard it a thousand times....wait, WHAT?
Didn't see it mentioned, so I figured I'd note that Anzalone evidently went down to Florida for their Friday Night Lights camp (this is the one that was the subject of much discussion re: Dawson). Maybe it's nothing, but could be a real problem for ND.

Notre Dame commit Alex Anzalone in Gainesville again & Working out at Florida's Friday Night Lights. http://florida.247sports.com/Board/14/Friday-Night-Lights-Live-Updates-… …

I think his dad is a Florida alum, so it might just be for fun...or ND gets hosed by another recruit.
Just needed something to do until Gridiron Kings started Today. In a interview he even said the UF coaches aren't really recruiting him they just said if you reconsider call us. He then reiterated he is 100% committed to Notre Dame. Nothing to worry about. PSU actually came in 2nd.
What is BPA?
when google doesn't actually get you the right answer
Bisphenol A - A polymer found in plastics that some think may leak hormone like substances into food stored within it leading the FDA to ban it's use in baby bottles and encourage food manufactures to not use it in it's packaging.
Either that or it's Best Player Available.
Thank you for the definition.
I haven't stopped hitting f5 since Dawson put us on commit watch 2 weeks ago. Unless Dawson is clairvoyant and knew the PSU situation, I still don't think I'm wasting my time.
I fully expect one of my F5 attempts to result in one of these this weekend
1+2=.......4????????
Signing day is all that matters. If he wants us then, that's when it counts.
We lose what... 2 kids every year between a verbal and signing day due to various reasons (e.g., family, girlfriend, whatever). That is roughly 10% of the class.
You are essentially saying that 10% risk is too damn high and you will only care on signing day. That is idiotic.
I've checked the blog too many times today in hope of a Hello: post
I think everyone is doing that.
I can't stop watching this gif. It's mesmerizing.
Green tweet:
'juz finished having a #GREAT talk with coach hooke #michigan'
I'd expect nothing less
Who's coach Hooke? Is that coach Hoke's non-pointing alter-ego who dreams of defeating Peter Pan?
There we go.
