Ted Sarniak passed away
Ted Sarniak, Terrelle Pryor's "mentor" and alleged Tressel bagman, passed away this weekend. Ohio State hiding behind FERPA laws and having it being upheld in Ohio Supreme Court never allowed the public to learn more about his relationship with Tressel.
In his obituary he refers to Terrelle Pryor as his "special son."

The Pryor situation is horseshit but this is no instance to bring it up.
I appreciate the sentiment of not wanting to use the occassion of a man's death to take pot shots at a sports rival. But saying that "thoughts and prayers" ought to be the official response of a fan base means that either
1) You want me to attach myself to a completely meaningless cliche,
or
2) You want me to act upon an ontology that I don't remotely hold.
In either case, I will not be saying "thoughts and prayers".
I'll attach myself to the statement.
I hope the family receives comfort as they mourn their loss.

There are worse crimes than giving improper benefits to Ohio football players and triggering a temporary downfiall in that football program.
