Just got a text from his father that Greg Webb has de committed from #PennState and has committed to #unc

Webb is a 4 star DT, and the first player to decommit from PSU since the Freeh report. Be interesting to see if any more follow suit.

Between the reputation of the program in its current state and the potential for severe sanctions, it will be amazing if they don't lose at least half of their recruits.

We are getting very close to the start of the '12 season.  If strong sanctions come down the pike, it wouldn't surprise me if all players receive a release which allows them to leave the program and play somewhere else without the usual year delay.

by the NCAA for academic fraud. Why are these guys headed to a school that's going to get hammered. Some will leave PSU and go to Miami of Florida. No matter. Can't fix stupid.

So who did PSU get that UM really, really wanted besides the TE Breneman? There has to be some good talent there, and I just wonder who among them would perhaps try to flee to AA, assuming there was mutual interest.

I'm sure it'll be tough for a kid to want to play there without knowing what the future will hold for the team.  I'm sure they'll do fine with locals, but pending NCAA action you have to believe they'll take a hit nationally.
