I swear, getting interested in european soccer has made my offseasons 80% shorter. There's so much going on even after the season that I almost forget about the wait.

Our boys will be starting Fall Camp in about 4 weeks or so, so excited for the future of M Football, Hoke is proving to be the man, a Michigan Man!!!

Also, why are the gray tabs not showing when I click on them? Is this a new punishment thing I'm not aware of, I've been very busy lately and unable to spend as much time on-line.

You know, I watched the UM v Indiana game from last night and something really got me. They were talking about tailgate week or something and showed people wearing jackets and hats, grilling burgers. Believe it or not, I think that is what gets me most pumped about football season and what I miss the most about living in Michigan/Ohio. Tailgating sucks in south Florida. Football season sucks in south Florida. There is something about football season in the fall. Going to games bundled up. Tailgating by the warmth of the grill, with a thermos of coffee(or Irish coffee)/hot chocolate/hot cider. I miss it a lot.
Yep. For some reason the combination of watching that game of flag football vs Indy, and this "There are" post got me going. Season can't come quick enough.

I have no way of knowing, but I imagine you feel this way because you grew up tailgating in the cold. That's how you grew to love the sport. However, to someone from south Florida who learned to love football by watching from a hot and humid stadium. They would probably hate our Fall tailgating ways. I know what you mean though. I can't get into the tailgating in Knoxville--it's just not the same. But that's probably because I grew up tailgating in Chicago.

You are correct. I grew up in Michigan, and I associated that certain "bite" in the air with football season. I have fun tailgating here, but it just seems like every day is exactly the same. Oh well. I'm coming up to Michigan for the state game, so hopefully there will.be a little fall weather then.
