2013 OL Offer List (from TTB)

Submitted by team126 on

I copied the 2013 offer list from TTB (thanks Magnus) so nobody needs to click a link to another site. Just for the sake of discussion, if one of the commits chooses to go another direction, who is MOST likely to be added (flipped from other schools, just in case) to team 134?

Colin McGovern was perhaps the most interested guy.  He visited Michigan even after we told him that we were full on the offensive line.

If I were allowed to pick another commit, it would be Ethan Pocic (although I'm not sure he would still be interested now that he's committed to LSU).

Magnus, I agree and think the Pocic ship has sailed.

What have you heard regarding OL Khaliel Rodgers? He is said to be scheduling a visit soon or at least be at the BBQ, do you think they are still pursuing him? Though not sure why they would.

The coaches keep in contact with a lot of kids.  With five moving parts in the OL recruiting class, I imagine they're keeping a few irons in the fire just in case.  I like Rodgers a little bit, but he needs some coaching.  Right now he's just pushing kids around sometimes, not really finishing blocks.  He might be someone who takes a little time to adjust to bigger, stronger opponents.

First off, he he's still committed. This is way too premature and just the type of thing Dawson does not need to see if he visits mgoblog.

Second, I think we wouldn't take another OL. I'd much rather see it saved for a best player available.

The need for offensive linemen has not dissipated in the last few months.  The coaches almost certainly still want five guys in this class.

True, but we have 4 in this class, 4 in last years, and by the time these guys get on campus, Williams might be an OL as well.

Is 5 something that the coaches have explicitly stated they want in the past, or just common sense based on numbers?

It's what they've explicitly stated to 2013 offensive line recruits.

We're already short on linemen and will lose 3 to graduation this year (Omameh, Barnum, Mealer) and perhaps Lewan to the NFL.  The coaches are trying to replenish the ranks, and they've talked openly about the need to win games in the trenches.  The OL is not a position where they're likely to under-recruit.

Why would you direct traffic away from TTB today of all days? Never mind the fact that there is a 2013 offer list in the useful stuff tab. A friend of Magnus lost their house to fire and he's donating 100% of his ad revenue from today's page views to them. Something to consider..

Ethan Pocic maybe.  But he's committed to LSU and I know that he was really high on us and we told him that we weren't taking anymore OL.  I didn't really see anyone on that list that I really think that we could get.  I think if we lost one ( God Forbid) that we would either offer somebody new or just roll with 4 and pick up an extra next year.
