Denard & NY Mets David Wright swap jerseys (PIC)

Saw this on the @umichfootball twitter feed.

I guess players get to do these things when you have an alum who is the owner of the Mets franchise.

I don't know about the Mets jersey, but Wright is clearly not wearing "Denard's" jersey. It's screen printed, not embroidered, and has sleeves. It appears to be an off-the-rack Adidas #16 replica jersey. If it is actually owned by Denard, he probably bought it himself.

Wasn't there a picture of David Wright sporting the 16 during spring training? If my memory serves me well it was to payoff a bet that Wright and Wilpon made over the Sugar Bowl.

The Mets are my second team next to the Tigers just because of all that Wilps has done for the University.

Wilpon got fooled by Bernie Madoff: BFD.  I'm sure a few people from Ivy League schools got fooled by him, too.  Like a lot of people, Wilpon lost a lot of money because he trusted Madoff.  It has nothing to do with being "MIchigan Man material."

He paid out $162 million.  What else do you want from him?

Haha, you are the idiot. I asked if he bought the jersey at Meijer, he said no, he traded it for some tattoos. In trying to make fun of OSU for actually doing that, his statement refers to Michigan doing it also. Which would be insulting himself/his school. Reading comprehension isn't a strong suit, eh? Should ... I ... type ... slower ... ?

It's possible my first post made no sense....I had 2 glasses of wine and I clicked on this to see cute Denard and I was just annoyed at the snippy childish Meijer comment from a Buckeye.

The way I see it, it makes no sense that a Buckeye is on MGoBlog, so we're even, right?

How could I possibly know your gender? Am I white or black? Quick! Guess! I got the joke you were trying to make, alas, it 1) was the furthest possible thing from original (try O$U next time!) and 2) it alludes to the fact that Michigan trades their memorabilia too. How do you not see that? I'm not here to be a dick--my original comment was harmless and tounge in cheek--but once tweedle-dumb and tweedle-dumber felt the need to attack something as benign as my original post, they forced me to lay the smack down. If sarcasm doesn't register with you, avoid the Internet, for everyone's sake. Jesus.

This isn't 1999 and/or no one is a fan of the Rock? Wow. Embarassing. Besides, the /s designation ruins the joke. The point of sarcasm being funny is that people get it without being told. /s-ing it means the joke wasn't clever enough to be understood by people with brains.

It beats the hell out of wearing anything that's kelley green and gold. Unless it's a purple-faced Barney rant on the sideline, then kelley green and gold is the sweetest of all colors.

All colors.

but it appears Denard may have trimmed the dreds a bit. Although, it could just be a differrent braid job.

Also, I would assume Denard has to pay his own way to NY to avoid any travel-benefit violations.
