I'm a Red Bull fan but if one of the smaller teams such as Sauber or Force India look like they have a shot a podium I'll wind up rooting for them.

Pulling for Shumacher. I kind of hate how he retired as a legend, then comes back and is mediocre. Also pulling for McLaren and Ferrari. I miss the days where they were the dominant teams.

And like clockwork both HRT's are out of the race

-Brake failure on both cars, K KKarthikeyan had to spin his car to avoid going straight on into the wall.

I'm also an F1 fan.  I just started watching midway through last season so I'm still getting the hang of things.  I'm partial to McLaren but kinda like Vettel & Webber as well.

This Fox feed is ridiculous with all the commercial breaks.

EDIT: Gotta say I like Kimi as well.  He seems like such a cool guy.

Definitely a bad move by Ferrari....guess they didn't figure on the tires going away as badly as they did. A shame, as Alonso, for my money, is the best driver in the game.   As for Schumacher, the guy should never have come out of retirement.  Other than his qualifying at Monaco which he did nothing with, he has become an overpaid liability.

Great race but I hate these Fox races. They try to treat it like NASCAR an over commercialize everything. I fear the coverage of the upcoming US grand prixs are going to be terrible.

That said it was a hell of a race. Huge Lewis fan as well. He's a bit of a hothead but he can drive the hell out of a car. Nothing is better also then seeing big chin Alonso and his bright red roadblock falling through the pack. I laughed as every pass was lined up.

I feel bad for Schumacher aside from the accident most everything hasn't been his fault at all. I'd love to see him win and he seems to have the pace and then the race starts and his luck goes to crap. I wish they'd have shown him drivin around with his DRS open an entire lap. Would have made for a lot of sliding.

What I don't get is how Rosberg, driving virtually identical equipment has no failures and Schumacher's cars fail with great regularity.  Could it be his driving style?  I haven't missed watching an F1 race for years, and Schumacher is simply getting old. Part of his great success was having the best cars during his several years of domination.

I happen to like Alonso and believe that he is the best driver out there....he has kept Ferrari competitive this year driving crap equipment, at least until recently.

Well not everything has been mechanical. I think only 2 races now have been mechanical.

He wrecked out of one by his fault.

He was wrecked out of the Monaco GP. I totally believe the first lap contact caused that.

The one race they released him from the pits with a wheel not on completely.

Wast there another race that the pits screwed up too?

He's seriously unlucky and I'd like to see him win one.

I'm gettin tired of hearing about the terrible Ferrari. Seems they've been on or near the podium in almost every race. Sure massa hasn't been competitive but I don't think he ever will be after his accident. If the ferrari was as good as they want it to be they would run away with everything.

The Ferrari has improved dramatically since the start of the season, with Monaco being the race where the improvements really started making a difference (at least I think it was Monaco).  It was Alonso's incredible driving that gave Ferrari some podium finishes and a win in the rain earlier in the year.

I can never remember another year where so many drivers have won a race.

As for Fox, I hate it when they cover races...ads galore...just like Nascar which I generally don't watch.

I cut my teeth watching F1 when there were only three or four guys in the field who had EVER won a race, and only a couple of teams with any chance to win on any given week. 1992 was the year Mansell won the first 9 races of the year.

The level of competition this year is nothing short of astonishing. F1 has been improving for years as far as competition goes--it used to be that having the title up for grabs on the final day was unheard of, now it's standard fare--but this season is something special. I'm not the same fan I used to be, but I'm getting drawn in on a regular basis now.

I hated McLaren back during Ferrari's dynasty only because they were the only threat with David Choultard and Mika H, but its hard to hate against a guy like Jenson Button, and Hamilton is a top 3 driver.

Ever since Vettel's incident in Turkey back in 2010 I haven't been able to stand him. Wrecking your own teammate because you can't hold the line and then blaming it on Webber....smh.
