Poggi to decide Monday at 10AM EST

I thought I would post it here since all the other threads are extremely cluttered.

Is this a coincidence?  I think not.

I appreciate that you prefaced with "this is good news," but I don't understand how any Michigan fan could express any disappointment about this.  Plus, in terms of need and likely contribution, I'd argue that Poggi is a bigger get than Green.  (Don't get me wrong, though... I'd love to get Green, too.)

Hopefully Hurst has started a domino effect and Poggi, Treadwell, and Green all commit within the week.  IMO we get Poggi and Treadwell, Green is a wildcard.

Lock. And a Poggi commit wouldn't upset Ohio fans too much. I wouldn't be surprised if we get both Poggi and Green or if we just got one of them? Either way, we end up ahead.

Most of us value his opinion...isn't that what a board like this is about? an opinion? Just like you have every right to post your opinion that you think RDT sucks, he has every right to post his opinion, which many of us like to hear.

I like that RDT posts here, too.  People take his "insider information" way too seriously around here, though.  I see no reason to believe that the guy knows any more than posters here who follow recruiting closely.  RDT's value is that he can share the Alabama perspective - like any of us could share the Michigan perspective on an Alabama board - not that he's some kind of insider with incredible information.

Personally I really like his posts and enjoy the unique perspective and insight he seems to provide. That said, I don't really get all the love notes he gets on here. Seems a little over the top, and I don't know why he deserves it more than some other posters. Again, I like the guy as much as anyone, but its just kind of weird that he's so controversial. I don't know why his posts should garner such extreme reactions one way or the other.

Like I said earlier, I have no problem with Rolldamntide. I like the intelligent users we have that are fans of other teams.  People just need to realize that this guy does not have any inside sources.  He has not given us any information that I could not already access from any of the major recruiting websites.

Agreed.  He's just relaying what the word is among the high school coaching network in the south.  Is it better than Rivals or Scout or TomVH, probably not.  It is more informed than some guy sitting in his mom's basement in Ypsilanti?  Yes.

It's fun to hear their perspective, but it's far from perfect.  So relax people, if you don't think it's worth anything, IGNORE his posts.

This totally points toward Poggi but I had completely given up hope of him coming here and I was assuming he was going to Bama. Maybe by giving up hope I unjinxed it

However this class NEEDS Treadwell and a difference making RB! With the last two classes of OL recruits and Sugar Shane how are we not landing the big time play makers!!?? It's gonna happen!

So do we buckle up in anticipation of more Michigan Recruiting Dominance (tm), or panic over Hoke's inability to draw in the top prospects?  Pretty sure there's no middle ground.
