With one of (if not the largest) fan bases and alumni bases in the country the ticket price of Detroit to DFW has little impact on it with other airports not too far away that offer direct flights in addition to how the fan/alumni base is so dispursed I don't think it's really going to matter.

Now it's possible they become available to the general public just because we're a lot closer and those that didn't get tickets may have already made alternative plans because they thought they couldn't get tickets.

These tickets aren't for the people who are still living in the AA area and didn't get tickets the first go round - these tickets are for those recent grads with new priority points that now live elsewhere that didn't get a chance to get them the first time around.  I'd argue that all the people that were going to go from Detroit (knowing it's best case $300) either 1) don't care about the price of the flight or 2) already have tickets.

EDIT: Case in point - the post below this one.

They didnt make general public last time did they? I know soon as I checked they were sold out. I would love to get my hands on some of these. Stubhub is high right now.

This game is only 2.5 hours away! (fingers crossed)

I am a 25-yr season ticket holder that has never bothered to activate my Priority Points.  When the Cowboy Classic tickets went on sale the first time, they sold out before getting to my level of priority.  When I called the Ticket Office to complain about the bone-headed decision not to limit the number of tickets each person could buy, they literally admitted to me on the phone that they were nervous about having to sell such a large block of tickets and intentionally did not restrict the numbers of tickets.

So I am now without tickets thanks to the greed of many - buying 12 or more tickets in many documented cases.  As for me, when the game was announced I invited my 10-year old nephew to attend his first Michigan game, bought two plane tickets, reserved car & hotel, etc. only to later get shut out of tickets.

I am trying to avoid paying a scalper to buy tickets because on principal I find that morally reprehensible, especially if it is a fellow Michigan 'fan' selling tickets to me.

So, that said, is there any "true" fan out there that has active Priority Points who might be willing to buy a pair of tickets for me on May 22nd so that I do not get shut out again?  If there is anyone out there, pls email me directly at '[email protected]'.

Thank you.

Are you willing to buy at face value at least?  Some people buy tickets and then can't go so they try and unload quickly and cheaply.  Nothing morally reprehensible about that.  The fact that the University restricted access to high priority point holders means everyone is a "fan", as you say, and no pro scalpers involved.

It's unclear why you have not activated your priority points.  You said you never "bothered" to activate them.  In another post you said you didn't understand the whole Priority Points thing.  Priority Points now drive everything  - - access to season tickets, seat locations, away game tickets and parking.  If you have points "banked" you should spend the $100 to activate them.  It's all about $$$ with Brandon and the points are his way of scorecarding the $$$ we give to the athletic department.
