OT - Man Sues BMW....
because he rode a BMW motorcycle for 4 hours, and claims that the shape of the seat on the bike caused him to have an erection, that has lasted for the last 20 months......
Now maybe my wife will let me have that motorcycle I always wanted....
I've had this erection ever since I've discovered the awesomeness that takes place here.

The application of law must be firm if it is to be useful. The losing party just has to take it like a man.
Then again, there is always the opportunity for an expedited appeal, in which case the injured rider could have an expedited ruling handed down on him.

Every BMW motorcycle commercial would have to come with this disclaimer: "If you experience an erection lasting more than 4 hours after riding your motorcycle, please consult your doctor immediately. This may be the result of an adverse reaction to our seat cushions."

I imagine he's got a pretty solid legal theory. After all, he's been carrying that torts textbook around in front of him for like a year and a half.
FWIW, if this were a true case of priapism, his 'member' would have become necrotic and have fallen off by now due to decreased peripheral circulation.

BMW will have its chance to present firm, pointed medical evidence that this claim is overblown. I'm sure even the plaintiff's attorney isn't too cocksure about winning at trial.
In anticipating the defense's evidence, the plaintiff will have to erect a stiff case beforehand.
Was the "general damage" mentioned at the end of the story a result of overuse of said erection? I've ridden my '83 R100CS with a Corbin seat much more than 4 hours and never had this "problem". I usually just have hand cramps, which he probably has too ;)
