Let's hope that this was somewhat of a wakeup call (even if it wasn't really justified) for him in the sense that opportunities like playing for Michigan is not guaranteed.  I bet he comes out with an invigorated drive to perform well this next season.

EDIT: By no means do I think he should have been in trouble, In fact it sounds like he showed very good control during the incedent.  I just think he'll be happy to be back to playing football and may appreciate it more.

Good to hear. Makes our secondary depth a little better. Sucks that he had to miss spring practice, but something tells me he will be pretty damn motivated to get on the field this year.

Furman was in my class with John Bacon, and when my friend had realized that he cut his dreads, he went up and asked him why. Apparently Furman said "It was time for a change."

That can only mean good things. Glad to have this kid back.

hopefully you are talking about after court? He really didnt do much to require change though. I wouldnt have payed negative mind had that been my daughter he was coming to the recue of. I just dont get it, I would thank him knowing what I know but the DA in that area would have him put in jail. Very strange one indeed.

I'm happy that Furman was found not guilty but he's no hero. He was not protecting or defending anyone.

According to news reports, he went to his ex-girlfriend's apartment, unwelcomed, to confront a guy that was inside the apartment (as a guest) because the guy was sending HIM sexually explicit texts about his ex-girlfriend.

Furman is not a hero. It looks to me like he is a jealous ex-boyfriend.

He had no business at that apartment. The occupants did not want him there and they did want the other guy there.

The best thing would have been to never go to the apartment and not confront anyone and never get arrested.
