i heard it was mostly his dad that wanted him to go there. why do parents have to be so involved in these decisions. at the end of the day, its the kids life and choice. <:(

I think it can work both ways, but it really depends on the parents. I think I read somewhere that Saban basically tells parents that he can get their kid in the NFL. If the parents have dollar signs in their eyes and don't really care about education or the other stuff, they may push a kid in that direction.

Well this is a dissapointment. I'm going to say the weather played a factor for one. Because its the only the reason I can think of that makes me feel better. I mean what has FSU done lately besides recruit top notch players and turn out nothing? Good luck to him though, 75 degrees year round might convince me to leave this windy cold state as well.

Thats comical at best. I'm not sure if you're serious, in which case you mean they party hard. I know this doesn't mean on the football field because I've never heard of football players that have fun playing at or below .500. I know for a fact October 20th will be a day of great mourning in south Florida. Massacre will most aptly describe the events that take place on that day.

I was being sarcastic. We went 7-5. Our worst loss was by 8 and we had 3 games that we lost by 4 points or less, one of which was against your preseason #6 team. Have fun getting hyped up for another disappointing season this year. Also, at least we could beat a ranked team last season. You're kidding yourself if you think it will be a massacre, its going to be close, and seeing as we don't have jacory to screw everything up this season I see us winning it in the 4th quarter this season. Remember your squad was absolutely manhandled on the field, Miami just screwed itself with stupid turnovers and bonedheaded plays.

Not completely true about the heat. I live about 2 hours west and it's really only unbearable for about 3 months out of the year. It just seems longer cuz it is so hot. The rest of the year isn't so bad. The cockroaches however you can't argue against. And it's called Lower Alabama or L.A.!

ulously hot (August and September). The rest of the year it's fabulous. And if you saw cockroaches it was because your place wasn't clean. Tally is really nice, about the size A2 was ten years ago, and the Panhandle Gulf is one of the last beautiful largely unspoiled places (well, keeping our fingers crossed about the BP spill long-term).

I came up and spent a summer in A2 and found it ridiculously hot and muggy THERE.

I'd still take smart and interesting A2 girls over sorority sisters any day, though. I guess if you don't need them to talk. . .
