almost seems like he chose Ohio with a thought in the back of his mind of payback. not like we even care though

could have been a factor, but a couple of the other schools recently took other recruits (Arizona and ??) and Ohio has been in on him for awhile...as far as i can tell, he really wanted to come here, and once we stopped recruiting him, he didn't really have that many options
Let's also take into account that Sully's announcement and two transfer announcements have come in the past month so they could've started a harder press for him just recently

I guess if we still wanted him, he might've commited to us since he ended up in the Midwest.
I'm glad we got Spike, he's more of a PG and that's what we needed more than another SG, we have plenty of those, MBB is looking good for the future!
Della Valle will light up the scoreboard against us every time we play them, while his own players will struggle to shoot even 40%.

Yeah, when you think about the last 12 months - getting McGary to pick us over Duke, Glen Robinson III blowing up as a recruit, the team winning the Big Ten title and Trey Burke deciding to stay in school - his luck's been pretty good.
Well there goes our B1G title hopes.
From what I've seen, the Buckeye fans seem to be convinced he's the next coming of Jon Diebler. I haven't seen more than a couple minutes of his highlight film, but he doesn't seem like a ~50% 3-pt shooter.

Because Beilein thought he wasnt needed once Burke decided to come back and we got Spike Albrecht.
I don't get why we took away the offer. PG or SG, he fits the offense well and we can always use more guards.
Would rather he have gone to Ohio U than to Ohio (State.) As said, we'll see whether or not Beilein chose wisely.

I don't know why people are upset. I find it amusing that Ohio is now recruiting our leftovers. It's a sign that we're moving up in status.
I wasnt impressed with the games I watched on ESPN.. He seemed very passive and his stroke was effective but a bit awkward. He did play on an all-star prep school team and hasn't played in the U.S. for long, so that may be an adjustment that he needs to make, but I don't see him being much of a threat in the B1G. I watched because I was worried Burke would leave and hoped he would be capable of handling the ball for us for a year and ended up thinking that he wans't capable of doing what we needed from him and he may or may not be a legit long range shooter. Good for him to get in to a big ten school, I'm not worried about him killing us next year or anytime in the future.
