Other weekend visitors?

Submitted by RakeFight on

Now that the highly positive Joe Mathis visit has been thoroughly analyzed (in multiple board threads below), I'm curious if anyone has heard anything about the other recruits that were on campus this weekend?  Two other 4* SDEs were scheduled to visit... Wyatt Teller and Josh Augusta.  There may have been others that visited that I am not aware of.  Insiders?

This isn't really related to your question, but it is related to the 2013 class.  Read on Scout that Scott Pagano (4* DT) is reporting an offer from the coaching staff.  This comes after Greg Webb's commitment to Penn St.  Link is below, but it's paywalled.

Edit: I was bored, so I figured I would make myself useful and check out the recruiting boards for any actual info for you instead of just saying a semi-dickish "No."

...the same thing at WolverineNation. He says that the coaches were impressed by his tape and because of the distance, they do not need him to travel to A2 to make the offer firm. Instead, they will schedule a visit to Hawaii (tough duty that).

There's been bits and pieces here and there, but things change all the time, and I'm sure Ace will post a recruiting update this week that will include a complete  Spring Game visitor list.

Over at Hokes Mad Magicians sarah does an excellent job with recruiting updates and other things regarding Michigan Athletics. In fact, i wouldn't mind seeing a link to her page over on the sidebar(also for "Tremendous") in place of some of the sites that no longer have new content.

Anyway, this is a list of everyone who is confirmed at this point and who is potentially coming, some interesting names on the list.

Did Mathis wind up going back to AA on Sunday after the invitational?  I remember one of those updates on Saturday saying he was thinking about it.

Pretty much off topic, but thought this was funny.  Not funny enough to warrant it's own thread, but maybe a strategy we could employ.  Nerlens Noel is a top ranked basketball recruit for 2012.  From his blog -

Now, of course that had a lot to do with the fact that they were playing there, but I'm always just shocked at how dedicated Kentucky fans are. One man asked me if I wanted to take his wife home with me, ha ha. I couldn't believe it. I was like, "Nah, I'm good," but that's just how insane the fans were down there. Great atmosphere.

Kind of an old story, but I got a chuckle out of it.  Fans...
