The perfect ending to the Raptor is how the tail pauses, and slowly collapses onto the mascot. Pure gold.

I don't like to give up on anything Michigan sports related, but it's a lost cause to vote for Hagerup. The panel has clearly made their overwhelming decision and the voters are following suit. Also, to be honest, if I wasn't such a U of M homer, I'd vote for the raptor in a heartbeat.
Maybe if I wasn't such a Michigan homer, I'd understand why I should vote for an embarrassing vid of one of our own.
If it wasn't for the raptor's tail falling, I would vote for Hagerup. But damn, that raptor...

Raptor, you take my breath away with your comedic timing and your sublime fall too your inflated face. I cry from your GIF over and over and over and over untill I have no tears left, my ribs hurting, moist tracks down my cheeks, redness in my eyes and complete thankfulness that the offices are almost empty tonight as the endless rotation of my wailing laughter, hyperventilating, revenge of the nerds laughter and wezzing sobs fill the room.

Although very funny and well executed, the Raptor is fake!
There is a longer video of it on You Tube and he falls twice before the fall you see in the GIF, including falling down the stairs. It's just a performer in a mascot suit doing a shtick routine he's practiced over and over. Just another clown at the circus
Hagerup's terror is stone cold real, for the whole world to see and enjoy.
Like wrestling when I was ten years old, I just don't care if it's real or not.
