I'm breaking everything I own and stabbing my Ken Holland voodoo doll. Hey, I got an idea, let's sign Mr. Turnover Ericsson to an inflated contract and tease the team with an actually competent defenseman named Brendan Smith!

Oh, and we'll trade for Quincey, whom we previously cut, just so we can make him a healthy scratch because he's worse than Mr. Turnover, and both of them combined are worse then Brendan Smith.

/fucking fuck you Ken Holland sarcasm

Bud Light Platinum wording, btw, but my sober feelings completely.

I'm a Wings fan, and this is not the year to be cocky. A sweep by Nashville would not surprise me at all. We may have "pieces", but we ain't got no drive. We're like Mustang only firing on one piston.

I wasn't being cocky, I said anything can and will happen in the playoffs. We have all seen teams on hot streaks like NJ a few years back (10 game win streak) lose in the first round AND teams backing into the playoffs getting deep...Also not sure why making fun of Nashville's past playoff ineptitude is "flame bait".

He's apparently incapable of the class we normally see out of opposing fans on Red Wings threads, but I guess he had his fun time trolling for reactions. If that makes his life better, so be it.

Whatever though, Nashville is clearly an opponent worthy of respect with their amazing Stanley Cup history, conference championship history and divisional championship history. Not to mention their long tradition of excellence in the NHL.

Yikes, you're sensitive. I don't consider myself classless because I'm not a Red Wings fan. All I really did was announce when goals were scored: a vital service in an open thread. Keep your head up, brah; anything can happen in the playoffs.

Completely agree. The Red Wings, quite literally, are one of the worst teams in hockey right now. And to be honest, maybe it would be a good thing if they get swept and absolutely embarassed. Management won't stand for that, and maybe that will force them to make a serious move for a guy like Nash or Parise.
