@Trey_Burke3 My advice, believe in YOUR heart & mind, everything else is interference. People u seek out is better than those that seek u.

Let me get this straight.  Mark Hollis sought out Trey Bruke to advise him not to listen to people who seek him out?  Classic Sparty.

Respectfully, what you posted is not true.  Even if it was, it would not be funny.

Also, you don't help us when you type things like "tO$U."

I agree there's a lot of contradiction around here.  And there are sharp distinctions to be drawn among M fans (some of whom are honest).  Believe me - I draw them.  But it doesn't mean we should or need to come here seeking flames, or even say sincere things to those we know will be thoughtless about it.

I would love to see your distinctions sometime. This obviously isn't a good place for it, but I would probably pay a small gold coin (get it? maybe it's been too long...) to hear your thoughts on that topic with internet examples included.

JGB - I used the plural.  There are distinctions that I draw.  But the primary distinction is right there in the parenthetical.  There are a tiny few who are honest, and then most who are not.  I may draw other distinctions, but honesty is the primary one for me.

As for examples, I don't get personal with negative examples.  Suffice it to say that negative examples are absolutely everywhere.

I'll say that some who I respect as having some honesty I also suspect of being multiples.  I'll also say that I like jmblue a lot.  I wish we had more of his type on our side.  Though spartandan and lesmanalim at TOC are right up there at the very top as well.

I was joking about examples, although I would like to hear your thoughts on certain users if we ever had a private conversation. I think I remember hearing that you're not around EL any more, but I'll actually be on-campus at MSU in early May.

I guess I'm confused what you consider honesty among Michigan fans. Is that a comment on the rivalry, like the post you were responding to, or a more general statement (which would have much bigger implications, obviously) about fans on a macro level? Referencing jmblue makes me lean towards the latter, only because I don't recall him being involved in this discussion. I agree that his posting level is up there, and I can certainly see why you admire his posts, given your internet personas.

Edit: About the rivalry...I do see it as the bigger rivalry outside of football. Given a choice between beating Ohio hockey/MBB and MSU, I would take MSU 10/10 times under normal circumstances.

At the very least this is the most unprofessional thing Ive seen an AD do short of a Gordon Gee presser. I do not care what his advices this smacks of tampering and if there is no rule on it there should be.

everyone please retweet this so it gets maximum attention.

I was going to argue that "unprofessional" is too strong a word;  I think it's well-meant yet absolutely wrong.  And its embarrassing when an AD does something in violation of NCAA rules, as this was.  But the more I thought about it, and what an amateurish error it was, I think "unprofessional" is the right word after all.

Of course Gene Smith still takes the cake, but we all knew that (and you said as much)

At any rate, I heartily ennjoyed seeing David Brandon's pimp hand on twitter, calling it "wrong" and "not appropriate."
