Q: What's the worst thing about Michigan?

A: "The people. Actually, how disgustingly ugly the women are. It's awful. It's disgraceful. There were more good-looking women at my high school. It was awful."

Comes from an anonymous survey of the exiting football Seniors. There is also some interesting info in there about how many liked Rich Rod.

I didn't go to school at Michigan but I have been to many games and been in AA quite a bit.  Of course AA has it's share of uglies but so does every place else.  I can honestly say in my experience in AA that the women are just fine.  There isn't a supermodel on every corner or anything like that but the women are plenty good looking.  I find comments like that ridiculous.

I never got the whole "no good looking girls at Michigan" thing. There are plenty. Seriously, go take a stroll through campus on a warm day. The fact that they aren't all dancing on tables every night and generally being prostitutes must be a turn off to the brosephs who typically spout this nonsense.

I'm curious as to why you would downvote the OP?

Edit: I wasn't trying to "flame" anyone or "bait" anyone to engage in a flame thread. I was trying to understand this board phenomena of down voting threads who's content is unpalatable albeit factual. Especially when the OP is clearly not a proponent. Apparently shooting the messenger is alive and well in the 21st century.

Isn't the freep aware of our no reposting premium content rule?  I'm joking but it is pretty weird for a newspaper to cannibalize a premium internet blog right? (I know ESPN is a large news outlet but WN seems more like a blog.)

Leaving aside what motivated the player to say this (assuming it's accurately quoted), why the hell would the Free Press reporter include this quote?*  Whether the player was recently dumped, bitter about his experience at Michigan, incredibly immature, or trying to be funny, it's just plain mean-spirited to repeat this in the Free Press article as a representative quote from the football team.  It's not fair to the football team, and it's not fair to the student body.

Not that the Free Press sports staff acting like a bunch of dickheads is exactly a newsflash.  Especially in the context of anonymous sources "reporting" about the football team.

*Rhetorical question, of course.  It's always about the click, and padding the old Freep resume for that dream job at the New York Post.

I'll bite

Your response is just simly untrue and not only unfair as a representitive of the readership at mgoblog, but  unfair to the football team, unfair to the Universtiy, unfair to Dave Brandon, and unfair to the rest of the civilized world.

How could you bring the name of the Freep down like this.  Whar are you?  Some Drew Sharp style hack poster.

I just can't believe the irresponsible behavior you have shown here posting on an anonymous message board.

You think maybe he was motivated to say this because it was an honest answer?
