Valiant effort at the end, but that should do it.  Even the NIT has standards.  Can't see them taking Illinois now.  17-15 with every single loss coming in their last, what, 22 games?  Nope, they're done for the season.  So long Bruce, I'll always remember trying to determine if you're crying in every interview or if that's just the way you talk.

I like Bruce Weber, but man was his team full of knuckleheads this year. Getting beat on the defensive boards, throwing away inbounds passes, not feeding Leonard in the post in the 2nd half, bad shot selection.

That was a more talented team than Iowa, but either didn't give a shit or had terrible basketball IQ.

After a couple of defensive possessions, on both side of the ball, the 'Cuse takes the lead on a pull-up jumper and a 3 pt. bomb; 51-47 6:53 2nd

Huskies seem to have trouble with the picket fence that the 'Cuse is setting up along the arc. That and they've gone a little cold with their shooting.

55-49 'Cuse 1:05 left, 2nd.

High scoring Big East.  I though only the slow Big Ten played games in the 50's.  I guess Uconn's repeat of 5 in a row in the Big East Tourney last year won't be replicated.

Napier for Uconn is a frustrating guy to watch play.  So is that goon Fab Melo for Syracuse.

Don't have the points to post this. It seems Meyer is having himself quite the issue trying to control what his incoming recruiting class is putting out on the web. Article also goes on to share some pretty alarming accusations about improper benefits(without giving any details).

They had pretty good numbers (RPI was around 50) when we played them but have pretty much fallen apart since (RPI was 99 coming into today and will surely go above 100 -- sadly that loss will now be labeled "bad").  The Hogs were 13-5 leading up to that game, but only went 4-8 the rest of the regular season (now 4-9 with their opening SECT loss).

The other side is that Michigan was still finding itself on the road and did not respond well to the full-court pressure in the early going, committing a bunch of bad turnovers.

Of course you were asking rhetorically, but hey, just ask OSU and MSU about their games at Illinois.

But related to our eventual seed. Anybody watching the Gtown/Cinci game? Cinci up one with 35 seconds, Gtown ball.

Edit: All tied up, 3.6 seconds, Cinci ball. Overtime?

UConn is now a lock as of today (says Eamonn Brennan of ESPN, I think Lunardi has them in as well).  I found that interesting, as watching UConn's play doesn't stand out as all that great, at times anyway.

This talk will escalate as Sunday approaches and more threads will contain this info., but I'm curious now.  I'm pretty intelligent and know quite a bit about the NCAA Tourney/Basketball in general.  That said, which really means nothing, is Lunardi simply guessing that the 6-11, 3-14 and 5-12, 4-13 games will be in Nashville?  Or all of the seeds already "pre-destined" to the respective "sites"?

I've wondered this the past few years and always forget to check whether or not Lunardi was right or if he already knew HOW to place the seeds in the respective sites.
