to the punch.
Urban finally thought the #44 player in the nation deserved a scholarship is my guess.
Why would they tell Burrows before McCray?
obvious that Urban is only offering to keep McCray away from Michigan.
It's not an offer. Cam is McCray's buddy. He's probably got some prank he's gonna play on him because he commited to UM.
He's switching to Michigan!! AHHHHHH!!!1
is following Mike McCray to the U of M?
He already signed his LOI with Pitt.
joking more than being serious, but I did not know Bam signed with Pitt. I ma sure it is nothing to worry about but if Cam wanted to follow his best friend I would lose all control on my Ohio firends in this horrible state lol
Probably an OSU offer, no?
Burrows is switching his commitment to Michigan
I CAN'T TAKE IT!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!11
If it's an OSU offer, wtf is Urban thinking?
He is probably gonna mess with him or pull some sort of prank on McCray because he chose Michigan and they're rivals now. I wouldn't read too much into it.
just going to mess with McCray...maybe bring him a t-shirt that mocks Michigan or some trash talk gag gift of some kind. I wouldn't read too much into it either.
You must be new to the internet.
... if it's an offer, better now than on signing day. This will answer any lingering questions about the strength of the commitment.
This. It's better to know right now if he has any interest while we still have relationships with elite uncommitted talent, than to wait later in the process when we have turned some away.
Cam found out that he "couldn't fail" at Ohio State, so he has more time to chill, with studying no longer an issue.
Kinda rough RDT!! But true! I had one of my best friends from my childhood go to Ohio, great student, but decided to attend for the ease of the degree. His parents were also friends with my parents, he did graduate, in engineering, FWIW, but more importantly I only know this through my parents....I have spoken to him since he decide to go to school "down south."
Roll, I do like you, but Alabama is worse than MSU education wise...
That depends on the program. Don't kid yourself, just because our football athletes don't care about education, doesn't make our University a poor educational institution. We're ranked 75th in the country, but several of our programs are in the top 10.
Edit: MSU is only 4 spots ahead of Alabama in the rankings.
Surprisingly good, my brother graduated from there, while in the military. Not as many options as say - Michigan, but it's not bottom of the SEC bad. It's pretty decent.
I had a friend my first two years in college who was a girl from Ohio (this is at Michigan). She was pre-med, and despite being a pretty diligent student, just wasn't cutting it in the classroom. Her parents were sick of paying out of state tuition for her to get C's, so they told her she had to transfer to an Ohio school or pay her own way. Since that wasn't feasible, she reluctantly transfered to Ohio State (she wasn't a big sports fan and was from Ohio, so this wasn't as tough for her as it would be for many of us).
Long story short, I stayed in touch with her until we graduated, and she said she cruised to a 4.0 every semester on her way to a biochem degree.
you mean like this:
Duron Carter disagrees. Roll Tide.
It's him showing Mike his cool NEW tattoo!
The one you get for committing to thee Ohio Somethingoranother...
lol, 17 year old kid says something innocuous, internet explodes. He's probably mailing McCray an apple pie or something.
Seriously. When I was 17, had I tweeted that to a friend, it was probably telling him I had beaten his high score in Drug Wars or got free Griffins tickets from my dad. Then again, I hadn't recently accepted a football scholarship, so who knows.
That game was awesome. I was just telling the misses about it last night... weird.
#174 - Mail someone an apple pie
#175 - Receive an apple pie
Mail one to yourself. Two birds, one stone.
I don't know but I have a feeling this will be the most anticlimactic event of the day.
As much as this is probably a non-issue, the pessimist in me is saying that McCray's about to get offered by OSU and he'll switch on the spot.
On the spot? Really? It's not like it's next February and he committed out of desperation. He liked Michigan enough to give a commitment very early in the process despite other national offers and the chance for more. This isn't Pittman holding a spot at a school he has no intentions of staying at. I'm not saying he would never eventually flip, but give Brady Hoke some credit. Urban Meyer has flipped exactly zero kids from Michigan thus far.
its probably like a Michigan hat or something. people are reading way too much into this.
Saw this on the twitter feed. If you can suffer through the initial part of this, you'll be rewarded with a truly outstanding, and apparently irony-free celebration of trashiness. In what world would couch burnings, fights, and shootings be positive reflections of a fanbase?
Priceless.
Haha... The bar I managed was in about 4-5 of those clips. It has the fake Starry Night mural in the background. Needless to say, I didn't when OSU and Michigan played. To be honest, this video is a little overstated. The only ridiculous thing I saw in 4 years down there was an OSU fan cold cock a PSU fan for cheering when they won. That, by itself, is terrible, but I saw nothing else stupid and these kids were wasted on a consistent basis.

50 years ago, no one even knew recruits' names. Today, everyone is on edge about a vague tweet from a recruit.
50 years ago gas didn't cost nearly $4.00 a gallon, times change. I think it's a bit ridiculous to hang on every recruits "tweets" but the times have changed.
I'd go as far to say that 20 years ago people didn't know recruits names (unless it was a extremely big time recruit)
If McCray is serious about Michigan, then good we'll have that question answered. If he wants to be a Buckeye in the end, then at least we'll probably know early.
(Given, I don't have any reason to question his commitment past the regular internet scuttlebutt)
I'm guessing the OSU coaches told Cam that Mike was getting an OSU offer. Makes total sense....
