On the "go to hell" comment...

"He can talk from the sideline," Taylor said Monday afternoon. "We're going to talk with our pads. We laughed when we heard it, but that's about it. It's not going to get a rise out of us. That comment's not going to decide the game or decide what's going to happen when we get over there to Notre Dame. What's going to decide the game is when we put on our helmets and we come into their stadium and we get to flying around.

"We were amused by that comment."

I dare any true Blue fan to read that, and not be enthused! It's great to see Taylor step up not only on the field, but in the locker room as well. He was never one of my favorite players but this season he's definitely grown on me.

I think the DLine will be all over the ND backfield-- Front Four has had flashes of dominance in portions of the first two games, but I wouldn't be surprised of they really took control of the game on Saturday. It's not 2006, naturally, but in this year I'm grateful.

Glad to see he's fired up, but I'd prefer the guys kept their mouths shut and performed on the field.

I don't quite understand why people get so beat out of shape about Weis saying "To Hell With Michigan". Here's why:

He's a moron (that's been proven over and over)
Bo said "To Hell With Notre Dame" constantly

It's much easier to get angry about a sound bite than to take the time to understand the hypocrisy of Weis' statement preceding that. They should be angry with Weis for talking about UM's excuse-making, not what he said next.

Once the ball is teed up. In a rivalry game, the players are almost certainly focused on the task at hand all week. I can't see someone's smack talk driving up the intensity for this game. Especially since our team is fighting every week to put together a decent performance. If a team was likely to over look an opponent, maybe the chatter could refocus one team or another, but that won't be a problem this week.
