BREAKING: Rivals100 LB Mike McCray of Ohio has scheduled an announcement for his college selection bit.ly/wzVLwa

Just as a side note, McCray has a visit to Michigan scheduled for 3/6. That's usually a good sign when a recruit visits right before his decision.

For whatever reason, OSU has yet to offer.

The internets are tough because inflection is in the eye of the beholder.

The original post meant "What do you you KNOW?" (i.e What are you not telling us?)

The responder thought he meant "What do YOU know?" (i.e. Who do you think you are?)

Everyone cool?  Good.

With many expecting a UM commit- lots of other LB's will likely be watching this closely.

They all know that the class is getting filled up quickly- so there will be motivation to commit quickly.

So I think it is entirely possible that recruits setting timetables and commiting quickly ca nhelp motivate some players to commit quicker.  On the flip-side it may scare some recruits away who want more time and may see any open spots go away

Meyer's strategy is to only offer and take the top kids, then flip kids to round out the class. It worked last year on a few kids, but not with Michigan commits.

Seriously, it's insane how much talent comes out of Ohio every year and I'm very glad Hoke has strong ties there.

I dunno, he's a little too far down on the Rivals 100 for my liking.

But seriously, if we could get all 3 of Levenberry, O'Daniel, and McCray I would be totally fine with the coaches taking more than just 2 LB's in this class.

The scary thing is, this class has the potential to make us all forget how awesome 2012 was, and that's saying a lot. This could put Zeke Pike's idea of MEGA CLASS to shame.

McCray is friends with Dukes, Charlton, and Roy Roundtree.

He could see himself joining them at Michigan.

I think he is scheduling a visit up to Michigan just to confirm a few things and commit to the coaches in person.  Then, he will make it official a few days later.

Go Blue!

Shouldn't there be a little more talk about getting some top-notch DT's to take the heat off all these LB's we're dreaming about? Pipkins can't do it alone. A little depth would make me feel much better about what these LB's can do. Vanderdoes....Poggi.....somebody!!!

This class is beginning to look downright USC or LSU-like.  In terms of guru rankings, there's a chance it could end up the best that Michigan has ever had.

Has visited many places already: MSU, OSU, Michigan, Tennessee, etc. Has stated in the past that Tennessee was his favorite visit. Tennessee also got in on him very early. I'd put the odds of him going there much higher than anywhere else right now unless OSU offers.

I think the reason OSU hasn't offered is that he fits the same type as Jaylon Smith, but he's not as athletic or talented. And the coaches seem confident about Smith.

OSU is playing a very dangerous game.  They are doing high-risk/high reward recruiting right now.  They are in on many bluechip players yes, but they are looking out of state for a good number of them.  Is Urban banking on being able to pick off commits later on?  perhaps, but he couldnt do it last year with kalis and hasnt been able to do it with Dymonte.  It really seems like Urban is over-estimating his own recruiting prowess and greatly under-estimating Hokes.  He might spend all his time out of State and in the south only to come back a realize a lot of the Ohio talent is off the table for him.  He is the opposite of Tressel recruiting wise.  Tressel choked off Michigan's talent in Ohio, Urban seems to be less inclined to do so.

Urban didn't really pick off that many guys last year.  Of the already committed guys he flipped, most were from Penn State which had plenty of their own problems, and one was Pittman who had always maintained that he'd flip if OSU ever offered.  He flipped on guy from Wisconsin, but he probably would have never been a Wisconsin commit had Urban been there from the start.

Point is, it's not that easy to just flip a guy from his commitment.  When kids commit to schools, they buy gear from that school, their families do as well, they visit a few times to acclimate themselves with the campus and the community, they need with academic people, and they foster relationships with players, coaches and fellow commits.

I highly doubt that's Urban's plan, but if it is, that's great news for us.

I almost feel sorry for those nuts down in ohio.

They finally have their rock star coach that is coming in to save their program from embarassment. He is recruiting nationally maybe holding out on in state kids for better faster national recruits. Maybe they are a little smaller but they fit his spread system better than the home state kids. Ignores the home state high school coach by playing it slow. While a huge rival get sto come and take the top talent from under your nose because you get the home state guys to fill the holes that we didn't get nationally.

Sorry I think I am getting me cozches confused, is that RichRod or Urban. Hmmm oh well I'm sure he'll do fine with that.
