Friday Night Drinking Thread
After making a nice eggs benedict with home fries (entirely from scratch), I had a freshly squeezed screwdriver with dinner (thanks to the fiance for that one).
Now I'm on to a few remaining Bass pale ales. Maybe later I will pour myself a glass of Oregon whiskey.
It is a good night, my friends.

I live in the yoop (near Marquette), about as far away from Ohio you can get and still live in Michigan.
With that said, tonight I'm drinking UV Cake Vodka mixed with Creme Soda, and I may just wake up in the woods somewhere.

Who makes eggs benedict at home? Don't get me wrong, I love eggs benedict, but I would never want to make it. Did you have Hallandaise and everything?

I used to want to be a chef (then i realised how difficult the hours are). I hardly ever go out to eat, I make all our food at home from scratch. I even grow a lot of our own produce. Kind of my hobby... or... one of my many hobbies.

My aunt is an amazing, trained cook/chef/whatever, and her homemade eggs benedict is one of my favorite things ever.
She also owns/operates a food delivery/catering service in A2 that I've been meaning to plug on here; I can guarantee that the food is delicious, if anyone is interested in taking a look or ordering.
Edit: probably not the best time to put this out there, since she's taking her annual vacation next week, but whatever. I encourage everyone in Ann Arbor to take a look. It's high quality, local and healthy.

and so far have had a couple of beers my brother-in-law brought over: Heavy Seas Loose Cannon and Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye. The first I've had before and it's pretty solid. The latter not so much.
From there I'll probably grab one of my latest acquisitions, Troegs Nugget Nectar. People seem to be pretty excited about that one. My only problem is that I can't help but comparing beers to Hopslam now and NN is no Hopslam.

The usual for me. Starting off with some wine (sauvignon blanc) and moving on to Fat Tire later. Looking for a movie to watch; I think I have it down to Taxi Driver or a 90's indie called Flirting With Disaster, anyone have any thoughts?

Tire is a great beer, but I can never seem to find it in Philly. I am enjoying a Guinness, my go to drink of choice. I vote for Taxi Driver, nothing like 70's DeNiro as a Vietnam War Vet cabbie!

I'd disagree with you about the outcome, of course (haha). Not a bad game for her, but not the greatest, either. Batting wise, they just couldn't capatalize on pitching that apparently wasn't as good as the stats suggest. Either way, your Owls won and you have to respect that at the end of the day.

In my high school years, Killian's was the first adult beverage that taught me that I don't have (or want) to drink everything containing alcohol in sight. I know it's got a solid following, but my palate just doesn't agree with amber lagers / ales.

It was a looong week at work... spent the first part in Colorado, then had to go to Florida. And for those of you who might think work trips are fun and glamorous... trust me, they're not. They get old real fast.
