Michigan SB Moves Up to #11
The Michigan Softball Team moves up to #11 this week up from T16. This comes on the heels of a fabulous opening weekend where the ladies went 4-0. This is the first look at SB as most teams started play.
Former #1 Arizona State dropped to #5 with 2 losses. Tennessee jumped from #14 to #10 by going 5-1 this weekend. It looks like the nation is looking at us real hard now.
Coach Hutch has the girls in mid-season form. Congrats ladies.

Just wondering, how are you affiliated with the softball team? Or are you just a serious fan? Thanks for all the information though!

Do you have any idea when USA Today began ranking softball teams? Just curious.

I don't know, but can I hazard a guess that when Michigan won the NCAA Championship and became the first team east of the Mississippi river to do so, they turned college softball from a regional sport into a national one?

Thanks for the updates, Went with my wife and oldest daughter to see the softball team against Indiana last season in the sleet and rain. Looking forward to trying to get to another game when we visit dad over spring break this year. I always enjoy your insight and info. Keep up the great work.

it was miserable. Umpires were terrible I stopped DB and asked him why these umps are allowed in the B1G. He said he was embarrased. The one ump chased after Hutch as she was walking away. I was in fear for her safety. He was big and had a mean look and was yelling at the top of his lungs..

Softball is just about the only place you hear that word anymore. Except maybe for "church ladies". I wonder why the expression has survived in the softball context.

I cant see this game any better than 10-0 mercy-rule win for the Gators. The only way msu scores is if Florida has pity and pitches a 12 year old recruit.
