Thursday Night Open Thread

Boring night here at the justingoblue-cave; megangoblue is gone and I'm left to my own devices, which currently means Soprano reruns, frozen pizza and some Tanqueray. With no Wings, no MBB or hockey, I'm assuming I'm not the only person sitting around bored tonight. What's everyone else up to?

Up with my 6 week old who got a cold from his 5 year old sister. Drinking some awesome brews that I have acquired through beer trading and putzing around on the internet. Looking forward to another early morning at the office, yeah tax season!!

Yeah, I had to rewind on the 'ole DVR to watch his dunk a few times. I live in OKC actually.  Unfortuately, I haven't been able to go to any games this year yet.  Love me some Thunder.

I just returned from a coaches clinic in Novi and listened to MSU LB coach Mike Tressel talk about the 4-3 and their blitz package. I'm telling you....I'm impressed with how well coached the State D is. They have simple philosophies and rules and the players they recruit know them well. They're gonna be tough to beat. They are fundamentally sound. They attack the line of scrimmage and they take their responsibilities seriously.

After watching a bunch of clips (which included a heavy dose of plays from the Michigan game), I can almost understand why Borges tried to throw the ball so much. Their front 7 is stout. I assume Borges knew that and felt like he had to loosen them up.

They're a gap control D and use the safeties in a unique way.

We'll have our hands full again this season. Make no mistake about that.

Sitting here, on extremely extended vacation in Michigan from California (which means helping my mom on the farm). Drinking copious amounts of red wine and working on a new song. Pretty much the Michigan Difference personified.

At 3:07 PM, my auto-refresh loaded Brian's 80 lb. trophy onto my screen.

At 3:07:12 PM, my hipster employee interrupted my stunned, silent, happy place with: "She's hot. Have you seen The Video?"

Having been cold-busted violating my own rules, I reminded him that we shouldn't be distracting ourselves with the internet, but if The Video wasn't indecent, well...let's take a look.

I can't look away long enough to figure out how to embed, so here it is--it's Ms. Upton, which hopefully gives it the SFW benefit of the doubt (if not, i wish you buenas noches from Bolivian. . .where the internet hopefully supports youtube).

Check out my blog! Don't. It's not good, yet. I'll figure the ol' interwebs out some day. Until then, blog that sucks that you click and go to out of pity. It sucks, but I think I'm funny and I want you to think so as well. /shameless advertisement /fuck hashtags, where I come from that's a pound sign

There are a bunch of big names visiting this weekend.  Some posters on the 247Wolverine message board are speculating that we might get a commit or two this weekend.  Specifically from Chris Fox (high 4 star o-line) and Jaron Dukes (not ranked but probably low 4 star wr).
