Best place in A~2 to watch an away game?

Submitted by Anonymous Coward (not verified) on

I'll be traveling through Mordor (WV and Ohio) next weekend, hitting Ann Arbor on Saturday the 13th.  All my friends have graduated/moved/procreated and are no longer throwing football-watching bashes like the days of old (it's just not the same when you're trying not to wake the baby, you know?), so where should I go to watch the UM/ND game?

I really like the gameday atmosphere at Frasier's.  Good beer on tap and alot of times they set up extra seating outside under a tent.  Just don't piss on the walls, they get touchy about that.

I do love Frasier's and Arena and other slightly off-campus locations.

The only problem with these places is that they're dominated by U of M fans who never went to Michigan. Now, no offense to anyone on here who falls into that category, but if you know what I mean... then you know exactly what I mean.

Jug rocks. Charlie's is much better after new management took it over a few years before. Skeeps is my favorite for away game day experience

I've never been to the place for a game, but I can throw in a plug for Cubs AC. Food is better than the Arena, beer is cheap, place is spacious and has many TVs.

Honestly, I've done a couple away games at Scorekeepers (It's not skeeps until after 10:30) and it was pretty enjoyable.  Decently crowd, but also pretty easy to find seating. Also, there was cheap beer, and huge screens.
