Hopefully he commits - seeing so many 2012 commits not go our way in the past week.
February 4th, 2012 at 11:30 AM ^
I heard he had changed his timeline and is going to enjoy the process.
February 4th, 2012 at 11:31 AM ^
According to Logan, he will decide at whatever All-American game he is invited to next year, so I wouldn't anticipate a commitment tonight or anytime soon.
February 4th, 2012 at 11:32 AM ^
Appreciate it!
February 4th, 2012 at 11:39 AM ^
Hes is enjoying being recruited and can visit around
February 4th, 2012 at 12:33 PM ^
His recruitment has really taken off.....among the great offers he's already gotten, he's starting to hear from schools like Oregon and Oklahoma as well. The only major programs I can think of that he hasn't at least heard from are Florida and Georgia. I'd have to look again, but I am pretty confident that those are the only two.
Also, FWIW, I would ignore his fall in the 247 rankings.
February 4th, 2012 at 12:41 PM ^
I think he just said via twitter that he's checking out Florida in June?
February 4th, 2012 at 12:45 PM ^
Well, make that Georgia then! I missed that tweet.

Children of Yost, make sure Logan known how welcome he is to campus. Make him dance!
February 4th, 2012 at 11:39 AM ^
It's good seeing him on campus so much, gotta love the chance you have with a kid who spends this much time around the program and coaches. Logan will be a tough pull just because of how many schools are after him and will soon be after him. You certainly can't say Hoke and his staff haven't done an outstanding job of evaluating and offering top talent across the country.

February 4th, 2012 at 1:17 PM ^
All signs point to him not being like Jordan Diamond at this point
February 4th, 2012 at 6:28 PM ^
He also had a friend on campus. I don't think that is the case with LTT.
February 4th, 2012 at 11:40 AM ^
Denard will show him around
February 4th, 2012 at 11:45 AM ^
At intermission maybe Denard will toss him a puck.
February 4th, 2012 at 11:47 AM ^
Nevermind that, let the guy play score-o! (or whatever they are calling it nowadays...)
February 4th, 2012 at 11:54 AM ^
what was that all about?
February 4th, 2012 at 11:58 AM ^
He looks promising, he would be a great add if he does commit to us. It was disappointing to see Steve Elmer go ND, but hopefully will rebound by landing him.
February 4th, 2012 at 12:01 PM ^
There is no chance we pry Elmer away
February 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM ^
I have a good feeling about him, but on the other hand I won't get caught up in the winds that be till he he faxes his LOI.

This thread in contrast with the one 6 lines down is a perfect example of recruiting in a nutshell--the fact of the matter is we as fans have no idea (about how visits actually go, first/second/fifth/sixteenth choices, if a recruit actually even steps foot on campus, etc.). We can speculate all we want, but it's just that. Trying to decipher any of this is a waste of time.
<br>Wake me up when it's over on 2.6.2013.
February 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM ^
No one is making you follow recruiting. You can stop at any point in time.
February 4th, 2012 at 12:08 PM ^
Stop Hating! Come on! If you love this team . . . you embrace the process!
February 4th, 2012 at 12:40 PM ^
But you're gonna miss the whole 2012 season if you sleep that long.
February 4th, 2012 at 12:06 PM ^
after all the flip flopping I'm not holding my breath.
February 4th, 2012 at 12:10 PM ^
Anyone else think that Logan at 6'7" 300 lbs will stick out like a sore thumb tonight at the game!!
February 4th, 2012 at 12:14 PM ^
Especially if he stands next to Hunwick.
February 4th, 2012 at 12:14 PM ^
Honestly, it would make me feel much better about our recruiting situation if he just committed tonight. I want to end the week on a high note.
February 4th, 2012 at 1:19 PM ^
What is wrong with our situation. We have a 5 star qb and 4 star safety right now.
February 4th, 2012 at 4:59 PM ^
Relax! Signing day is a year away! Feel better about what? We just got a top 10 recruiting class and have 2 good players who have verbally committed next year. Let Logan make his visits...
February 4th, 2012 at 12:49 PM ^
It'll be interesting to see what his reaction is after this visit. As far as going to non-football games, I can't think of a better place to take someone if you want them to commit to your program or your school than Yost Ice Arena. I feel like it's the quintessential Michigan sports experience. If you aren't overcome with the passion that Yost breeds, I don't know what will get you.
February 4th, 2012 at 1:48 PM ^
recruiting him have a power hockey program?
February 4th, 2012 at 5:17 PM ^
Is there a school with a big football program and a power hockey program? I guess Notre Dame? May be Wisconsin, if you're loose on those terms?
February 4th, 2012 at 4:07 PM ^
A Michigan hockey game is the "quintessential Michigan sports experience"? I've never been to Yost since I'm not really a fan of hockey in general. Maybe those hockey players living in the apartment above me when I first moved to AA turned me off (too much indoor hockey noise). But anyway, tell me why it would be worth going to a game...even if I don't like hockey.
February 4th, 2012 at 5:14 PM ^
I think college hockey has some of the best environments in college sports. It's a popular enough sport where there is a dedicated following, but it doesn't get the same coverage as football and basketball. That has allowed it to have a sort of cult dedication from its fans. Now, keep in mind that I'm coming from the opinion of an alumnus, so much of what I say has come out of standing in student sections.
The main reason I think Yost provides the quintessential Michigan sports experience is because it is an environment that is focused on the game. While Michigan Stadium is the biggest stadium in the country, there are always people in the student section who aren't necessarily in the game. They're there to get sun, they're there to take their pictures, etc. The fan dedication is a little more dilluted.
Yost isn't like that. The people who go to Yost go to Yost because they like hockey and moreover, Michigan hockey. The arena itself is small and intimate and the crowd is right on top of the ice. The fans are loud and unruly and IMO everything that college fans should be.
I'm sure some will agree, and many others will disagree, just my opinion.
February 4th, 2012 at 5:54 PM ^
Yost is a special place. The fans, the passion... as Nigel would say, it's an 11. You really can't compare it to the football experience. I am by far a bigger fan of the football team, but I still think the Yost experience is a better game-day atmosphere.
Trying to think of a good analogy... maybe Cameron for Duke basketball?
February 4th, 2012 at 6:22 PM ^
DON'T MENTION JORDAN ANY MORE.Logan has already been on campus 4 or 5 times,it's early but that has to say something right?GO BLUE!!!
