Ty Isaac Update

Submitted by Steve Lorenz on

Hey guys, there are like no topics about Michigan on the front page of the board right now, and I know most are interested in Ty Isaac, so I thought I'd share the quick update I had with him this weekend. Enjoy: Ty Isaac

By appealing they were allowed to sign 31 last year.  Add 15 a year for the next 3 years and they are at 76 scholarships at the end of their sanctions.  Under Pete that is around the number they usually were at anyways.  The 76 doesn't consider any early entrants for the draft or transfers.

You might want to title your posts with AQUA or TREMENDOUS. People value your updates in a similar fashion to Ace and TomVH when he was with us, and if you title your posts it helps let us know that this is more of a legit source than someone randomly posting what they think is an update.

but I am am a greedy fan you know, I want as much talent as possible to get coach Hoke and the players to  the promise land. I am estactic with our class this year the o- line, and the whole defensive side of the ball just make me smile when I think about it. Plus I love the few under the radar kids we took like Northfleet, Clarke, Henry, and Drake I am pumped to see this class in  a year or two. I was just being a little funny with the comment that got you a little riled and I can see how it came of douchey from your standpoint,

Yet another long year until we find out what he choses. I dont have a good feeling about him coming to michigan. The Garnett thing is too fresh in my head right now. Thanks for the update as always.

Good Ol' Aquaman . . . to the rescue! Too Legit to quit!  Thanks for the update on T.I. Hope he chooses to go blue -- but we really only want Michigan Men!

Aqua - appreciate the work you do.

It sounds like he'll be one of, if not the top RB recruits in the country next year.  Good thing we started early and have Shane chirping in his ear.  I just started following recruiting religiously this year - but I've read quite a few articles of commits that said "they were my first offer" or "they recruited me early" and I think that resonates with a lot of guys as they feel more appreciated and loyal to those programs who "believed in them before everyone else"/

As such, I'm glad we were one of the first ones to offer.

I think we're all gonna need to settle down a little bit with our recruiting fanaticism and expectations this year. Hoke was able to nail down some big-time recruits very early in the process last year. We pretty much had all our elite guys committed by August, including that ridiculous month-long stretch where he pulled RJS, Ross, Bolden, Richardson, Ojemudia, Funchess, among others. He pretty much just hand picked every single one of our top targets, all before summer. I don't think that will be the norm. We shouldn't be freaking out if kids like Isaac stretch things out into the fall and beyond.

You can spin it however you want.  Brionte was committed "technically"  But he was leaning towards M*chigan before Urban took over.  That is a fact.  Urban had 2 months on the job recruiting and ended up with a better class than yours.  Choke had the entire year.  Just wait for the 13' class and we wil see.  Dymonte WILL be a Buckeye and I can't wait to start the thread on here when he does declare.
