OT: Frink and Tom Crean separated at birth?

Submitted by bringthewood on

Tom Crean ranks high on my list of dbag coaches.  Learned to whine at the knee of Tom Izzo.  He does bear a striking resemblance to Frink on the Simpsons:

Some guy gets arrested for pot and MIP, while he was talking about doing shrooms earlier, then asks for legal advice, another guy posts some thread about Google and Nickelback, the Bachelor gets two threads, Royal Rumble gets a thread, some guy called Moe Ali Tahhan gets a thread, Mark Dantonio and MSU somehow convinced multiple posters to create multiple threads about them, Stefon Diggs, Yuri Wright, and DGB have become some mythical creatures that people want to capture and ask about every other thread, and don't forget, Urban Meyer is apparently the doom of Michigan and we'll never win another game and we should just join the Ivy League (Sarcasm, people). I also wore shorts today. In February. Very weird past couple of weeks.

If you were dipping, the awful board posts and your poor fashion sense could have converged to cause a ripple in the space time continuum such that Kelly Baraka never picked up a bong, Marques Slocum spent time studying instead of petting his Fuck Lion, Larry Harrison found a nice girl, and Jai Eugene decided to wear a rubber with his.

If only you had gone the extra mile we all could have woken up to a plethora of past championship trophies in Schembechler Hall in some sort of Back to the Future/Ghost of Signing Day Past miracle.

You blew it!

or do the rest of you wish players on opposing teams would intentionally run into crean when he comes way out onto the court as they're bringing the ball up? (am i wrong to think he'd get T'd up for being in the way?)

I like the guy.  He's a damn good basketball coach.  I remember him while at Marquette, taking them from mid-major to yearly NCAA tourney expectations.  I'm one of those guys that isn't in the boat of finding reasons to dislike other coaches/players of opposing teams.  Now, the Dantonios, Mattas, and Tressels of the world won't ever win my respect, but many others will (that will never coach/play at Michigan).  Anywho, Crean will take this Indiana program back to relevance; they belong under the title of "good basketball teams" IMO.

But he does need to get the eff off the damn court.  I agree, I'd love it if Trey Burke were to have turned around and ran at him while he was arms-length away.  I wonder what the refs would have done?!
