I do it so I can find my threads...it's easier to search. Personally I think everyone should do it, that way we can search better rather than posting a million threads on the same thing ;-)

Forgive me for trying to let people know when the head coach of our Michigan Wolverines would be speaking about the recruits we signed this year.
One Signing Day Thread is talking about drinking at 9:43 on a Wednesday morning...the other is going "MIKE JONES!" "WHO!?!" over and over.
Sorry for the multiple threads, but I think this one should be forgiven.

I'm not trying to start a pissing match, because I know your intentions are good and I too HATE when people clutter the board with a bunch of threads.
HOWEVER, like I explained above. I did not want to post this information in EITHER of the Signing Day threads because they've both just turned into flaming and trolling. I created the 2nd one to have some sort of "chat" to actually discuss Signing Day and the big prospects who've signed around the country.
My thinking was the same as yours...I didn't want a bunch of "OT - Diggs to Florida" or "OT - Green-Beckham to Arkansas" threads that cluttered the board. I wanted to make ONE thread where all of those types of things could be discussed. That way we could save the front page for more Michigan related topics.
Unfortunately one thread is discussing drinking last time I checked and the other is chanting a Texas rapper's name over and over again. Nothing wrong with either of those...but it wasn't what I intended the thread to be so I've stopped posting in both. Instead I figured it'd be best to wait until the day is over if I want to have some "civil" conversation.
As for the search feature, thanks for the heads up...honestly didn't know that.

Front page says 1 pm. Is it 1 or 2?

I'm watching the videos for these kids at that link. I can see why everyone talks about the upside for Wormley. He's enormous and moves incredibly well for a guy at 260 or so.
I spent the earlier part of the day looking at video of commits to another school. Lots of generic high school football players who, if they gain 60 pounds of muscle and don't lose a step of speed, might contribute some day.
Then you look at Wormley and he looks like a D1 DE from the start. Lordy!

Anyone else having trouble playing the video? It plays a few seconds and then trips up.

Either you're accidently in the wrong thread...and you mean this: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/video-signing-day-first-hour
Or you're trying to watch the press conference video, but the press conference doesn't start until 2pm so there's nothing to be shown.

Sorry, I meant I was having trouble playing other videos. Wrong thread.

They are putting a serious d line together... But so are we.. Possible bowl matchup in 2014?
February 1st, 2012 at 10:28 AM ^
If you haven't watched his highlights in a while, do it. Like NOW! All of my, "who will catch jump balls when Hemmingway is gone?" questions are over.
I know we have major issues at TE right now, but this kid has the athleticism to be an outside receiver. He will be an absolute nightmare for LBs or safeties trying to matchup.

When does the WTKA thing start? I always enjoy the player interviews he does.
February 1st, 2012 at 12:39 PM ^
I believe it's an all day affair...people have been talking about AJ Williams giving a great interview. I've yet to hear it.

24 different versions of: "Well . . . this is another guy that we think can play some football for us."
Maybe I can turn it into a drinking game.

Coach Hoke touched on the Yuri Wright situation saying social media hasn't been good...it's allowed the coaches to find out more about a kid, but not for the better.
February 1st, 2012 at 2:57 PM ^
Why are these posts beening marked as redundant? Those of us that can't watch the presser really appreciate the play by play.

Coach Hoke says they started recruiting Norfleet YESTERDAY.
...adds that he expects 18-20 players in next year's class.

lol, he's struggling today...you can tell he just wants to coach, he doesn't want to sit up here and talk about HS Seniors.

I thought it was funny..."he's got 4 years of hell."

I thought it was funny..."he's got 4 years of hell."
Also, he went out of the way afterwards to talk to some of the press individually (Mark Rosenberg and John Bacon specifically) about questions they asked that he didn't understand or want to answer.
