OT: Newest Wolverine (Class of 2030)
My wife gave birth to our son Saturday at 5:12 p.m. He was 7 pounds 2 ounces, and 19 inches long. His measurables were already sent to Coach Hoke, and Coach Hoke said to work on his arm length, and a scholarship would be waiting. (The Doctor thought this was funny, my wife being a Notre Dame grad was none too amused)
Shortly after this picture, I happened to put on a very important article of clothing. Hail to the victors!

He looks like the next Jake Long, but stronger.
January 31st, 2012 at 2:04 PM ^
But better at hyperbole.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:16 PM ^
Why the hate?
January 31st, 2012 at 3:19 PM ^
that yet another in-state super commited to Michigan
January 31st, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
Yeah Sparty recruits nationally, come on man read the memo!
Also, congrats on the new addition to your family my man, may he live a long and prosperous life and be a hell of an M Footballa!
January 31st, 2012 at 4:26 PM ^
on seeing him stand up before they award a 5th star.
January 31st, 2012 at 7:31 PM ^
Well done, you win one internets.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:33 PM ^
That is one small block M hat.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:34 PM ^
Great looking family!
He has All-American written all over him!
January 31st, 2012 at 1:35 PM ^
Congrats. While arm length appears to be an issue, I would recommend working on pad level as well.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:43 PM ^
I would say he has great low pad level, but I think his footwork could definitely use some work. I think we have a great coaching staff to get that fixed though.
With that being said, congrats to the new family and congrats to Brady Hoke in landing this future blue-chipper.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:35 PM ^
Don't worry regarding arm length, just make sure he has lots of grit and moxie
January 31st, 2012 at 1:36 PM ^
Congratulations. Enjoy every minute
January 31st, 2012 at 1:36 PM ^
He can send his LOI tomorrow. A footprint will work as a signature until then.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:38 PM ^
Congrats
Is Barwis going to help with his conditioning?
January 31st, 2012 at 1:47 PM ^
Barwis told us that he didn't tolerate crying in his establishment, baby or not.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:39 PM ^
Congrats! That little hat is great.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:40 PM ^
Congratulations. If this is your first kid, make a mental note now about what sleep is like. It'll be a while before you become re-acquainted with it.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:40 PM ^
Congrats WolverineInABag!
January 31st, 2012 at 1:43 PM ^
Sometimes the only reason I want a kid is to take a picture of it wearing a cute little Michigan hat like that. Also, congratulations!
January 31st, 2012 at 1:43 PM ^
Those stats make me think scat back/db combo.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:44 PM ^
I'd say he needs to work on his vision, but otherwise looks promising!
January 31st, 2012 at 1:45 PM ^
He looks intense in the second picture.... obviously the next Jordan Kovacs. But faster, and with more grit.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:49 PM ^
Will his first word be "fergodsakes"?
January 31st, 2012 at 1:50 PM ^
He's doing great so far. I watched the M vs Ohio game from the hospital room Sunday, and he started crying considerably when Ohio pulled away in the second half. The force is strong in this one.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:50 PM ^
Congratulations! Given his partial Domer genes, I'm sure he'll be screaming like Brian Kelly before long.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:53 PM ^
wow! your wife looks great for having just had a child. Enjoy the little one and cherish the time,
but dont plan on sleeping much for the next two months.
January 31st, 2012 at 2:58 PM ^
He already is thinking of brunette girls.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:30 PM ^
You're really setting his expectations on sleep way too high. My little guy finally started to sleep after we did cry it out at 9 months. Then he started to add 3 more teeth at once so he regressed and we had to start cry it out again when they came in. At that point, it only took a couple nights of some crying to get him back on task.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:53 PM ^
That there is a cute little boy! Lol, did you change your Avatar for the occassion, I thought you were an older marine gunny earlier...
January 31st, 2012 at 1:54 PM ^
Congrats
January 31st, 2012 at 1:55 PM ^
Careful, wives can be cunning. Don't let ND steal him away.
January 31st, 2012 at 1:57 PM ^
This happened on Saturday; why are we finding about it just now?
January 31st, 2012 at 1:57 PM ^
Nice hat, and remember... these exist as well!!
January 31st, 2012 at 1:59 PM ^
Cute kid. Congratulations!
January 31st, 2012 at 2:03 PM ^
Congrats on that.
And congrats a million times more for the newest wolverine!
January 31st, 2012 at 2:07 PM ^
Wow, congrats! You do good work.
Keep those options open. My little wolverine (who is now in middle school) looks to be on the small side, so I am beginning to wonder how many Big Ten championships he'll be able to deliver to Hoke & company. However, I still have him pencilled in for winning the Nobel prize in Physics while affiliated with the University.
January 31st, 2012 at 2:57 PM ^
He can't do both?
January 31st, 2012 at 2:11 PM ^
Congrats. He's going to need to add a couple of pounds, and I'm calling 4 FAKES out of 5 on his 40-yard crawl time of 13s, but he's looking good.
January 31st, 2012 at 2:12 PM ^
Congratulations!
January 31st, 2012 at 2:12 PM ^
Has he gotten an offer from Lane Kiffin yet?
January 31st, 2012 at 2:12 PM ^
ugh why'd you have to go and humanize yourself like this. it'll be harder to neg you now.
January 31st, 2012 at 2:13 PM ^
Thanks for the "Hello Post". Congrats !!!!!!!
January 31st, 2012 at 2:14 PM ^
Congratulations! He looks great!
January 31st, 2012 at 2:16 PM ^
congrats man!
January 31st, 2012 at 2:20 PM ^
Congratulations! We have a 14 month old, and I haven't had a full night's sleep since he was born. Naps are your friend.
January 31st, 2012 at 2:20 PM ^
Enjoy every minute, sleep is over-rated, and glad to see your brainwashing has started early! I'm sure he'll be doing the Touchdown by next season....my 2yr old daughter says "daddy has Go Blue on!" everytime I wear something with a block M. Which is very often. Still working on my 10month old boy...I have high hopes as well Coach Hoke!
January 31st, 2012 at 2:26 PM ^
Right before signing day, too! There's still room in this class. Or maybe just opt as an early enrollee for the 2030 class.
Congrats on your new Wolverine!
