We are still predicted to get Diamond, and so far, the scouting services have been pretty accurate with their predictions.

Although I still don't see how it relates to my comment.

I was simply stating that everytime I see a "(bad)" in a thread title, it's sad because it usually means something isn't going our way.

Good luck to the kid! ATTENTION FOLKS!!! Do me a favor. Take about 1 min and go look at the list of Michigans 2012 commits. See..... Nothing to worry about and a lot to be excited about! Go Blue!

You seem quite concerned about mgopoints.  If you hang out long enough, you may notice a few things about them.

First; it is generally accepted here that the first rule about mgopoints is "don't bitch about mgopoints."

Second: while some people vote strictly for relevance, many vote for resonance.  If they resonate with it, they upvote.  If they don't, they downvote.  Your favorite TV show might get you a trip to "Bolivia," while someone else's might get them a posbang.  That means that the bearer of bad news might get downvoted.  Luckily for him, the same people won downvote bad news usually upvote good news.

Third: there are well over a thousand people who post here.  Each of them has well-thought, well-formed, firmly-held opinions, whether or not they agree with yours.  You probably aren't going to change any of their opinions by complaining about them.

Im not concerned about points.  i am concerned about new users feeling freedom to come on this board and posting about crap that is not related to Michigan sports or sports in general, like the bachelor.

I found this board in the fall of 2010 because it had great recruiting information and an overall great tone to it.  I loved that the information was fast and TomVH had great relationships with the recruits.  Most of all, the board was respectful in talking about other teams and recruits, players, coaches, other users, etc. and didnt stoop to the levels of many other sports boards.

Lately, there have been a lot of new users posting and creating threads that don't belong on this board.  That is not my opinion, that is just consistant with the rules that are published.  Consequently, the posts have been removed.

I certainly welcome new users - don't get me wrong, just think its important to orient them to the rules and the culture around here.  One thing is for sure, if things don't tighten up, mgoblog not going to be as enjoyable as it once was.

a side topic...  am a Michigan alum 1993 BSME  and would like to buy a Michigan flag, the older type  big ones that are solid navy blue with a maize M in the middle...the kind you see people hang outside the house on OSU gameday, or the kind you see in waiving in the stadium.  the only ones i found were a little cheesy with lots of words on it, graphics, etc.

can someone assist please ? where is the best place ONLINE to buy one ?  thanks in advance.

As in, buying a flag from a non-licensed distributor or site.  Plenty exist out there, for significantly cheaper than you'll get through MDen, Ulrich's, or Underground Printing.  The quality and customer service are going to be what you expect though.

Garnett was bad news because we'd been recruiting him forever, but seeing as how we hardly knew Muller's name until Schiano jumped ship, there's no sense in getting worked up about this.

Just seems like ever since Aquaman emerged on this board, we've not had a lick of good news.  Not saying in the wildest that he is the cause, just a strange coincidence, no?   Oh come on it crossed you rminds don't negbomb me!

Keep up the good work, Aquaman!  \s
