ehhh, still a good year in recruting. Suprised we didnt get a little bit more late game momentum after our year but the class is the best in years. Too bad Urban Lyer stole the show this recruiting season and swiped some of our midwest momentum.

This has been the worst ending to a recruiting class that I have ever seen.  I really think the fact that we have dropped these kids is killing us.  Freaking Great.

If we have the number 7 or 8 class thats all fine and good but if Ohio is pulling in a top 3 class then 7 or 8 isn't good enough. But this is all subjective numbers. The bottom line is that although this years class was good, it was the bare minimum requirement going forward if we are to compete with Ohio with the type of class they are putting together.

Oh and we just lost our first true head to head recruiting battle with them for Armani and we still need another true cover corner in this class which is now in the hands of the enemy so there is that.

This really sucks not for what it is today but for what it portends.

We lost out on Armani Reeves because we got four [good] linebackers, and then we didn't have room to take Camren Williams.  Reeves picked OSU mainly because Williams was headed there, and that's nobody's fault.  It's just a thing.  Frankly, I don't think cornerback is a key need in this class right now, and I'm perfectly happy with the linebackers we got in this class instead of Williams.

The difference between the #3 and #8/#9 class is minimal.

It is a dissapointng way to have this recruiting season come to an end, but this class overall is likely to finish in the top 10 and looking ahead to 2013 we already have a couple of big time recruits commited as well as being listed as leaders for a couple of others. Things in AA will be just fine.

We missed on 2 players that originally committed elsewhere, and then we missed on a massive OT from the west coast who stayed.. on the west coast. I never really thought we had a chance with Kozan.

We still have Diamond. And while that still feels like a toss up, I will be the most disappointed in that decision if it goes against us.

I agree. I wont lie, I really wanted Grant but I never expected him after the Oklahoma visit.  Kids that are concerned about staying close to home or have already essentially concluded that they are going somewhere don't schedule a rando visit in january. The coaches have a plan I am sure, but having that tweener between AJ and Devin "The Funk" Funchess would have been amazing. Heres hoping Ricardo Miller bulks up and the light goes on.

Diamond is still on the board. Heres hoping we visit Jarrod.

really want to attend Michigan.  Unless we get some huge surprises, we are done.  Diamond has been a slight UM lead for a year and has not committed.  Like to see it happen but not holding out any hope.
