Fresh Roast SR 500. Nothing fancy, but it definitely does the job. I have always preferred Hawaiian beans or Sumatra for espresso (medium roast, of course) but the roaster came with a central American sampler pack so I'm just working through that. When it runs out I'm thinking of working on Ethiopian and seeing what I can get out of that.

I'm actually finding that to be the case with all of these. Thing about Sumatra is usually I find it in the store, it has been toasted almost to a char (which is no good in espresso), but I think I will try some in my roaster next time I get an order. I honestly don't know the temperature but I put it on high and turn the fan down to medium high, and the pops come between 3-5 min in. Generally it takes over ten minutes at that setting to get it right. I'm guessing that means South American beans are much tougher.

Sometimes. It is difficult to know how long it takes to.get to the second pop because each kind of bean is so different. Some take longer than others. I'm finding though that if you don't then the bean is way under roasted. I'm new to it so I'm still learning.

Anyone else notice that back then everyone was using the back board much more? Just about all the shots today are right at the net, which isn't a bad thing, but hitting the square on the back board is a much higher precentage shot.

68mm wheel

Got suckered in to doing it for my dad.  I was home over Christmas and he was all like "Oh it must be terrible living in Michigan with only RWD cars (not really since I just take AATA everywhere and save gas), why don't you take my pickup back to Michigan for the winter?"  Then a day later he's like "Oh and you could trailer up my Corvette and install all this stuff I bought over the winter if you want, since I know you like wrenching on cars."  Since he's 65 and not so handy with a wrench I figured I owed him and now I have a project in my garage for the winter.

Saturday is the erstwhile 6th day.  But I hereby declare it to be the 7th day forthwith.  Saturday morning is the exhale of the universe.

Smoking?  I decided some wine goggles were the most appropriate way to experience this Saturday.  Some magic fucking grape shit.

Happy Saturday everyone.

Amazing ... if he (C-Webb) had ever come to his senses and stayed within a few feet of the basket at all times, I really believe he'd be in the conversation for greatest NBA power forward of all time. Hands (unbelievable, really), "length," strength, other-worldly quickness ... the whole package for a low-post player.

P.S. Nice soundtrack, too ...
