Sam Grant Update

Submitted by Steve Lorenz on

Per a source close to the situation, Sam Grant will decide by the end of the weekend. Things seem to be favoring Michigan over Oklahoma as well. I figured I'd share this real quick to maybe give you something to look forward to over the weekend.

I don't work with EITHER of them, but I have been made aware of their source. The source is (a) real, (b) reliable, (c) one to which they have access, and (d) not Rivals.

The source may be the same one Tim used. It may not. But I'm quite comfortable that our aquatic friend came about the information honestly.

He's also likely to be making his decision this weekend. His godfather (Camren Williams' dad) said that Armani is planning to spend a lot of time this weekend thinking about the decision. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes an announcement on Sunday or Monday.

Is there a reason he's still only a 3-star with the quality of offers he's picked up in the last month? I know that the recruiting sites do their own independent analysis, but it seems to me that a guy who has offers from Oklahoma, Michigan, and Arkansas should at least warrant a second look for a fourth star.

You guys never learn. Every single thing we hear about recruting is 100% a guess. Nodoby knows anything until the kids actually comitt. Can we please stop speculating about where so and so is going to go? Even the recruits usually does not know until the day they decide. With that said, I think Diamond is going to the SEC :)

Nope. That was the post. Looks like others agree. I'll try and help you with a click on the moderate button for normal. Your problem is you're lacking toughness, accountability, and technique.

When you see threads that are obviously going to be dedicated to speculating about where recruits are going to go, you just shouldn't click on them. This would protect you from such trauma, and the people that enjoy them, such as myself and many others, can continue to do so. Sound fair?

Don't know how long you've been around here braaaah, but our crazy guess speculation has been pretty right on about 25 commits so far - if you include Standifer and Brown.

So maybe you should be here a few minutes before you make stupid comments like this one.

I'm all for speculating on recruits, but I think you might be overstating our collective accuracy. The general feeling on this board was pretty strong that UM was going to land Brionte Dunn, and reasonably confident--though less so--that we would get Garnett. The board was also pretty dismissive of Drake Johnson until UM signed him. So, I think the speculation (which, again, I am totally cool with) has been more hit-or-miss. But hey, that's what makes it exciting.

The board may have been dismissive, but after watching him in the Pioneer-Skyline game, with a sure 2 years until he gets playing time, I've been stoked.
It's good for Michigan to take a player in Washtenaw county, it looks good to the local community, and Saline and Dexter have had some pretty good guys over the years.
My alma mater Pioneer has turned it around in football in the past 7 years, it might develop well.

You guys have convinced me . . . Diamond has a 23.22% chance of coming here. I just talked to a guy who has a friend who is a friend with Diamond's former babysitter. The word is that Diamond was wearing a yellow shirt in a blue car and was driving East . . . TOWARDS Michigan. OMG . . . get excited and buckle up!!

Pehaps my sarcasnometer is on the fritz again, but the last sentence makes me think Ryno was being a little tongue in cheek here...or whatever the typing equivalent is to that (finger in nose perhaps).

Edit: I just read the posts in the Kyle Dodson thread and I think booger picker is a much better analogy.
