So, if Michigan alumni are retarded, what does that make MSU alumni?

Sometimes it helps to know your place before you speak.

If you would like to be in the position of someone who is attending, or has attended the University of Michigan, maybe you should have studied harder in your youth. If it's just bad genes, sorry can't help you there.

I heard that Dantonio was in the crowd and led the student section when he said, "Here's what we're gonna do. We're going to get other people on the court. People that aren't going to be playing for Purdue. How many of you guys want to play B1G basketball? Alright. You guys can go back in the corner."

Izzo will scream and rant
The rcbm will have 10 threads on how great the Izzone is
Dantonio will proclaim he's "proud of how his students cheered"
And Hollis will just keep on Tweeting

How did so many douchebags find themselves in one cow pasture of a town?

He didn't. AA was mentioned in the comments by a Sparty fan, but Izzo didn't say anything about AA or UofM (or if he did, it wasn't quoted in the article).

EDIT: I may be wrong, Izzo may have brought up something he heard in Ann Arbor later in the press conference. I'll give you an upvote to show you I regret my oversight.

more like he dismissed it. I think he was probably just trying to say that fans are butal and that it has nothing to do with the game. He mentioned that if he knew who it was or found out that he would throw them out of the izzone. The Michigan stuff was pointless and he should have just left it alone but its not a big deal by any means. Should be funny to have Tom Izzo through Gholsten out of the Izzone though.

I do find it funny though that's Izzo's talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Yesterday, in response to Brandon Wood's poor performance, Izzo made a little dig at U-M saying:

"I thought we had a couple guys that had a deer-in-the-headlights look. I don't know why. I really don't. It wasn't the most hostile place we played in or anything like that." Read more: http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/article/20120121/SPORTS/201210319

Now today, when it suits his purposes, he's crying about how mean the U-M fans were to him and his team.

Which one is it, Tom?

1. Criticize toughness of the izzone student crowd
2. Rationalize big ten losses as road games that are tough to win in
3. Characterize AA as not tough relative to most places sparty played in
4. Justify hummel-acl comment by comparing to AA environment

5. Hope & pray the izzone makes comments about acl injuries & grandmas to Michigan players to help his team win.

Izzone knows the purdue comments are inexcusable ... but he's really butthurt about losing 3 in a row to Michigan. Hence the two sides of his mouth continue diverging.

It seems like the Izzone, more often than not, is becoming more and more of a problem. They've been a consistent focal point of Izzo's ire this season, between constant texting during games to perceived apathy to stuff like this. There's growing resentment against the organization that runs them, displeasure in their passion from alums in particular and the fanbase in general, the list goes on and on.

Basically, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some serious changes to the Izzone after this season. They've all but jumped the shark.
