Anyone want to share beverage choice as well? I'm drinking leftover raspberry lemonade sangria I made for megangoblue last night, plus some wine, Commodore Perry and some alcoholic fruity drinks that have been sitting in my fridge forever.
By the way, did anyone see Merrill's face? He's going to make life hard for at least a couple domers tonight.

What a wonky-ass rink ND has. Benches on opposite sides, penalty boxes beside ND's bench.
January 20th, 2012 at 7:46 PM ^
Exact same setup as Michigan State's. One of the many problems I have with them.
January 20th, 2012 at 7:47 PM ^
That's actually a fairly common setup. Off the top of my head, I know they do it that way at Michigan State, Boston College, and Boston University.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:07 PM ^
Miami has that setup as well
<br>
January 20th, 2012 at 8:10 PM ^
but the redhawks dont have that setup...I've played at the Goggin Ice Center and the benches are on the same side.
January 20th, 2012 at 9:06 PM ^
I could have swore they did. I thought I saw it one time when Michigan was playing down there. Maybe I confused it with another arena.

Yuenling. Also Notre Dame offensive zone penalties when the puck is nowhere around are the only thing better to laugh at than generic Notre Dame offensive zone penalties
January 20th, 2012 at 7:46 PM ^
Yuengling is now America's biggest brewery surpassing Boston Beer (Sam Adams).
January 20th, 2012 at 7:50 PM ^
It's bad but significantly better than equally cheap things, plus I live in Philadelphia so I feel like I'm supporting the local economy. Also I know SAB owns Miller and Coors (see mispelled username for reason why) but I forgot Anheiser-Bush was owned by inbev. I was going to ask but fearing being the subject of a HLMGTFY rant, I decided to look it up myself.
January 20th, 2012 at 7:54 PM ^
Inbev owns a shocking amount of beer brands. A lot that even surprise me when I look back at the list. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/InBev_brands

Good to see them getting some cycle going on the power play. Stay patient, boys, it'll come.
January 20th, 2012 at 7:44 PM ^
Ugh, give up a shorthanded chance and commit the penalty.
January 20th, 2012 at 7:45 PM ^
Ugh, if you're going to take the penalty, make damn sure he can't get the shot off. That was useless.
January 20th, 2012 at 7:48 PM ^
Big stop there.
January 20th, 2012 at 7:49 PM ^
Penalty killed off.
January 20th, 2012 at 7:49 PM ^
STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BOX!!

hopslam and michigan hockey. could life get any better?

January 20th, 2012 at 7:56 PM ^
Both teams are skating well. One thing I like about ND's rink is that there are no advertisements on the boards (yet). Also, Rickard's
January 20th, 2012 at 7:56 PM ^
Halfway through the first, tied 0-0. M is controlling a lot of the game, but ND is getting enough luckyish odd man breaks to even that out.
January 20th, 2012 at 7:57 PM ^
I thought Riley Sheahan was supposed to be suspended for this game...
January 20th, 2012 at 7:58 PM ^
Under appeal. Maybe he'll be suspended tomorrow.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:05 PM ^
Nice goal by ND. 1-0
January 20th, 2012 at 8:06 PM ^
Too much time playing in the defensive zone. There were bound to get a chance.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:06 PM ^
Ferris up 3-0 over TSIO, roughly 5 minutes into the 2nd.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:10 PM ^
That was an absurd crease violation on that 1st goal. Shouldn't count.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:10 PM ^
Ferris now up 4-0 over TSIO, about 7 minutes into the 2nd.
MSU leads Lake, 2-1 in the 2nd.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:12 PM ^
So you're saying we shouldn't be impressed with our split.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:14 PM ^
Well, seeing as how this is just one game, I'd say that Ohio isn't going to pick up any ground tonight. Nothing more.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:17 PM ^
By which I mean sweep. Not split.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:13 PM ^
that was dumb
January 20th, 2012 at 8:13 PM ^
Hunwick's lucky he didn't get a 10 there.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:13 PM ^
Reminds me of my play: crash the net hard, take a penalty if you have to every now and then but make sure to take one to the box with you.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:16 PM ^
Notre Dame taking a page out of the Joe Pavelski playbook?
January 20th, 2012 at 8:17 PM ^
All this extra crap is getting my blood boiling.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:17 PM ^
Who the hell is reffing this thing, Jimmy O'Malley and Patrick O'Flannigan?
January 20th, 2012 at 8:19 PM ^
This is Olympic ice, isn't it?
January 20th, 2012 at 8:20 PM ^
I don't have NBC Sports Network, so I can't see the game, but Al Randall is laying into the referees right now. Is it really as bad as he is saying?
January 20th, 2012 at 8:29 PM ^
They didn't set a standard with Hunwick at the beginning and Hunwick is paying for it now. I don't know what he's saying, but the refs have been decent other than that, IMO.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:30 PM ^
I'm as irate as Al Randall right now, but the refs are letting them take runs at Hunwick. He's been run into a couple times at least and they're consistently hacking at him after the whistle. Hunwick is losing his cool as a result. Someone's gonna get hurt.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:23 PM ^
Kerry Fraser's retired and he still has fucked up hair.
January 20th, 2012 at 8:41 PM ^
Notre Dame tripping penalty. Hopefully we can get one here and tie it up.
