So ESPN compiled a list of nonconference games and ranked the BCS teams based on percentage. I'd just like to note that the SEC sucks.
The Big ten teams are ranked 6, 7, 9, 14, 17, 23, 24, 24, 41, 47, 60. northwestern and minnesota suck so you can't blame them, but wisconsin is embarrising. this is not news to anyone here.
The SEC teams are 18, 24, 33, 33, 33, 37, 43, 51, 52, 52, 56, 58.
What a fricken joke.
Half of the big ten is ranked higher than the highest sec team.
8 big ten teams are in the top half.
10 sec teams are in the bottom half.

The 7th or 8th place team in the SEC is often equal to the 3rd or 4th place team in the Big Ten. Like comrade Sommy said, they HAVE to schedule cupcakes. It's BCS suicide not to.
Enough with this bickering and forth about the SEC and the Big Ten. Fact: The SEC is not faster. Fact: The SEC does have a deeper pool of good teams and an infinitely better recruiting base. End of discussion.

I'll give that the 7th or 8th team in the SEC is often equal to the 6th team in the big ten, but you'll have to give that the 8th team in the big ten is usally better than the third team in the big east.

Who the fuck cares if Wisconsin beats Arky by 4 in a bowl game or something? Michigan beat Florida, so obvious Michigan was better than Florida right? Let's get real. If UF played in the Big Ten last year, they would have been an 11 or 12 win team.
The bottom line is the SEC is a much deeper, better conference. You cannot dispute that, no matter how many Capital One Bowl games you cite. The SEC schedules cupcakes because Team X routinely plays Georgia, Florida, LSU, Alabama, etc in a given year - and their "lay ups" are Vanderbilt, Miss State and South Carolina. Yikes.

Uh huh, and Tennessee shit the bed vs UCLA in the highest profile OOC game in the SEC for the season. If the SEC is OMG DEEP and should win the OOC games anyways because they are obviously superior, then why don't they do it more often to get 2!!! SEC teams into the NC game based on obvious strength of schedule? Not scheduling good out of conference games screwed Auburn in the end, an endless parade of 4 La-Monroes and a SEC schedule won't favor you over a Pac-10 schedule, ND, and OSU.
If anything, the SEC should play a ton of good quality OOC games, that way they have a better shot of making the NT game even if they suffer an internal SEC conference loss, beating USC by 20 and losing to Florida by 3 says your conference is strong. Scheduling 4 Conf USA patsies says you're a pussy.

I live a couple hours from gainesville...what a bunch of little bitches down here i have to say, yes, the SEC is the best / deepest conference, but they way they talk shit down here about the Big10, you'd think michigan wasn't 23-5-1 vs. the SEC (or something close to that effect). I sat in the endzone of the Capital One bowl and watched the UM recievers run circles around the "so speedy & fast" Florida Gators....oh and I saw Tebow get put on the ground more than any SEC team had done up to that point...
Im sick of hearing about the "rigors" of the SEC. The conference is better, but the individual teams aren't any better than the Big10 or Pac10. I love SEC football, but Florida fans make me want to hate them. They are the most whiney, entitled fans in football. I never minded them until i moved here from MI.
At least Michigan and Ohio state have out of conference games vs the likes of USC, Texas, Oregon, ND (when they dont suck). Granted they both have cupcakes too, but seriously, fuck florida
