has done very well with the 49'ers.  However, as one can point out with numerous examples, success on the college or pro side does not always translate to the other side of the equation.  Thus, your assertion is pure utter speculation and not well argued or reasoned.

I invite you to make a cogent argument for your thesis, as opposed to the single observation that Harbaugh was a pretty good coach at Stanford and with the 49'ers for 1 year.

After Mike Hart's guarantee of victory in '07, they were trying to get him to guarantee another victory over Florida at the pep rally for the Cap One bowl. The coaches had clearly talked with Hart and his remarks were very close to the vest. That is, until Shawn Crable grabbed the mic from Hart and shouted "WE'RE GONNA WIIIIIIIIIIIIN!" and started waving a UM flag around. At that point we were all pretty sure that Florida was going to whip us, but that scene and the eventual victory softened my memory of Crable.

"How many had they won before that?" = easy translation to football any time you get an excuse thrown your way. Attribute it to him. Also, Draymond, it doesn't matter in any season before this. You know it stings and makes you want to cry.

Anyway, you had the chance to win it and couldn't close the deal, so you have no excuses (again, similarities to football)

The money shot:

"They won three. Before that, how many how had they won?" Green said. "They got their little three, but they come to East Lansing in a few weeks.

"They better celebrate this one, because I can guarantee you they won’t get one in East Lansing. You can quote me on that one."

Okie dokie, Dray.  It makes me laugh to listen to Sparties claim it's no big deal because of how many they won before.  I guess we know what that means come football season.

Cool thing about googling Samantha Steele is that not only is she hot, but there is another Samantha Steele who likes to show her nipples on the internet.  Double win.

Dude needs to talk to his football team, cause he says stuff like; they have their three, big deal, how many did we win before that ..... sounds like what we get made fun of in reference to a little four game winning streak they have.  Come on, get on the same page here!  You can't have it both ways, Draymond!!

So which is it...

Izzo said he'd "Go into Ann Arbor and find a way to win" last year...That didn't work out so well for him.  Whiny little bitch coach, whiny bigger bitch player.  Sparty gonna spart.

Sorry bro, but you aren't going to get another win against Michigan. Your team has a ton of talent but plays undisciplined and doesn't have a capable PG just yet. Unless they come in with a completely different game plan or we shot 30%, its 4 straight.

That Samatha Steele is one piece of "ass". I know from experience, dude, if you know what I mean.

 No, you don't.

Well, not me personally, but a guy I know ... him and her got it on! Whoooooo-eeeeee!

No, they didn't.

No, no, they didn't. But you could imagine what it'd be like if they did, huh?

Draymond Green needs a win on Feb. 5 to have a career winning record against UM.  Kinda blows his little claim to pieces...

In fact, series record since Beiein took the job is 3-4 in favor of MSU.  5-6 in facor of MSU in the last 7 years and 6-11 in the past 11 years (as far back as I could go on ESPN.com).  The only serious run MSU had was from the late 90s through the 04-05 season where we only won 1 game of 10 or 12.  Hardly the 15 years of dominance some commentators and of course State fans like to claim.

What a selfish player. The guy really hurts his offense by playing out of position and taking emotional shots. I honestly love our chances anytime we're playing against him. That said, I think we win in east lansing this year too. Stop making excuses and jacking threes and D up one time.

He's not exactly saying anything that's terribly daring.  He guarantees that a home team will win in the B1G.  Well, duh Draymond.  Winning on the road in this conference is harder than ever this year - just look at this weekend as a classic example.  Both these teams lost to teams they very much should have beaten, but both were on the road.

I, too, expect that State will win at home and as much as I would love to be wrong there isn't anything to be ashamed of when you lose to a ranked conference rival on the road.

Green used to be the only Spartan I liked but the whining is just too much. I wish him the best playing in Scotland next year. As for Izzo, he owes his career to Brian Ellerbe (just as Dantonio owes his little run to he whose name shall not be uttered).

The bottom line is that State was preseason #2 last year when we swept them. They were top ten this year when we beat them. Our bball team is improving without the need for State to falter. Our recruiting is up in football and bball; theirs is fine in bball but weak in football. What's that all mean? It's means that we'll be scrapping with State in bball for future years and trouncing them in football. (p.s. for the izzo sycophants, "classy" doesn't whine, make excuses or talk trash).

I just had to post because it's so rare for me to completely agree with a dahblue post(though I'd like to think it's a respectful disagreement about things both ways). I'd like to especially reiterate the point about izzo being "classy". He is really the farthest thing from it and I honestly can't see how any UM fan could possible like him.

He just loss a tough game and giving a guarantee of "We'll get 'em next time!" is exactly what you're supposed to say in those situations.  I don't really get why everyone is piling on here.

And a hearty thank you to the OP for that pic of Samantha Steele, she is quite striking.

Who cares?  They were talking retribution last season after they were all butthurt after losing for the 2nd time in Ann Arbor.  We're still waiting for our comeuppance Draymond, but I don't think you're the man to serve it up.

I don't think his comments are a big deal.  For the most part, MSU bball players have stayed classy on and off the court.  If this is one of them being slightly out of line, then let it be.

Didn't Izzo guarantee victory in the game at Crisler last year?  I seem to recall Green also saying something like, "I'm never going to lose to those guys again" as well.

By the way, did anyone else note the irony of Mike Hart's comments from a few years ago?

“Sometimes it’s just like when you’re playing your little brother in basketball. You let him get a lead and let him get excited, but then you take it back from him.”

Dude could have been describing last night's game.
