No Confetti magically showering down from the sides of my browser?

No vocal of a awesome babe saying“ Congratulations, (Insert Name Here)?

I really expected more from you UMich EECS folks!  (sigh)

On the other, despite the overall strength of LSU, why the hell would a top pro-style QB want to play there? LSU throws a la Michigan in the pre-Harbaugh days.

going to an opponent - who is a rival of ours - we play frequently.

I'd say he has something to do with Michigan.

On another note, I wonder if all the sports writers who lauded him for going to Indiana and being so steady will recant those statements.

Kiel committed to ND. ND is our rival. We play ND for the next 4 years. Thus we'll be playing against Kiel for the next 4 years. I, along with others, like to know what's happening with our opponents. Don't forget that we recruited him for a while. Besides the #1 QB recruit in the nation commits to IU, switches his commitment to LSU and then switches his commitment to ND, and you don't want to hear about that? Are you not a college football fan?

Man, his recruitment got kind of weird.  Not really the best sign in a QB usually.  Family stuff kind of reminds me of Forcier.  It should be interesting to see how the QB situation plays out in South Bend.  Do they go with Hendrix, who was the annointed one only to have everyone lose faith after the bowl game?  Or the RS FR Gohlson (sp?) who is a true dual threat, or the highly touted true FR with some apparent issues on the side.  Either way, I hope it ends up positive for UM when we play them.

As an aside, what's going on with LSU.  I've been reading that there some real discord amoung the team and Les Miles.  Part of the reason why so many juniors jumped ship early.

Athletically, it's a shame he didn't stay committed to Indiana. He could have really helped them find their way out of the football gutter.

has high-maintenance flake written all over him.  We'll see how he responds the first time he walks off the field to a purple-faced Brian Kelly screaming at him.

EDIT:  not intended to be racially demeaning to purple people

But who else is giddy about his decision?  We all know it doesn't matter how highly touted a recruit is; it only matters that he is a QB going to ND so he isn't going to be any good.  The fact Irish fans will now be grasping onto something that will eventually fall right into their faces makes me happy.

He was at the Indiana orientation at noon. Lol .... Until I see this kid in a uniform I am not buying.

just what the heck recruits find so appealing about ND. Seems they have a lot of red flags going against them, like coaching meltdowns, lack of consistancy throughout the season, lack of (you know) winning, and all. Strange for kids picking between us and them to look at all the ways Michigan is better and pick ND anyways.

This, only more so:

1) South Bend has the charm of a carbuncle on a homeless guy's backside

2) The students are near uniformly upper middle class privledged snots

3) Students are obsessed with dorms. Your social identity revolves around dorms. No, seriously, dorms.

4) The Indiana booze police are jackbooted thugs out to stamp out a good time
