Is it me, or does it seem that Ohio is being extremely LAZY with their recruiting this year, and are basically just looking at who Michigan is targeting, then going after them?  It seems like every one of our top targets suddenly are OSU's targets too.  Lazy bastards...do your own research.

He actually did say that during the signing day special. I was amazed to hear that. I kind of find it pathetic. Let one team do all the leg work then come in a offer them. I say we send out 25 offers to scrubs around Columbus that love Ohio. That should fill up there class real quick

thats where that line came from.. I was thinking about it all night and I remembered I read it on twitter. It just felt right to say. Not sure if I really needed to site a tweet when just about every one here thought it at one point or another but I will give credit where credit is due.

One of the knocks on him at FL was that he strictly relied on the recruiting services.  So he offered all the top guys.  Without seeing them or evaluating how they fit into his systems.  So while he got many top recruits many did not fit and pan out.

If Hoke and Co. targeted all of the players MSU recruited, Michigan's class would be ranked in the middle of the B1G. Your point is irrelevant.

Also, there were like 80 offers sent out in a 2 week period immediately following signing day last year. There's no evidence that the staff was just hanging around waiting to see if any other schools offered these players.

There are some summer 2011 camp one-on-one videos of Shalman at DE.  He was utterly unblockable.  Incredible first step, the 2012 OTs he was going against were consistently slow with their first reach step, where Shalman would either go around, or do a swim back inside to tackle the 'QB' (tackling dummy).

Shalman has stated his preference as a RB, but I think he would be a great rush end/3-4 OLB...JMHO.

I dont think hes going after who we offer, its cause were offering the best so is he. Urban is going to be the most hated coach in the b10(if he already isint). And dont think that Shalman is a lock, urban is a slick bastard who knows the recruiting game. He will tell/do anything to recruits to get them to committ....

it basically means, "Hey, you're on our list.  You're not at the top of the list, but we'll let you know what happens with the guys we really want and if there's room for you because the guys ahead of you are going elsewhere, we'll actually accept a commitment from you.  But for now, we're just engaged to be engaged."

RB class in 2013 could be special. I think Shallman will be used like an H-Back here. Hope we get Isaac too. But Edwards could earn an offer as well.
