There are two differences in crimes committed by Michigan players compared to those who play for Meyer or Dantonio: quantity and quality.  I won't run down the list of criminals who have played for either coach, but it is well-documented that neither coach seems to care very much about his players' relationship with the criminal justice system.

I am thoroughly convinced that if it wasn't for alumni pressure from the Brantley brothers and their supporters, Meyer wouldn't have punished Cam Newton for his theft of a computer, and he would have played out his college "career"at Florida.

As for those who cite Stonum, his last one doesn't count; "indefinitely suspended" means he isn't officially part of the program until further notice.

Sure, you make fun, but if a lawyer could just get the contract to represent all of OSU's players, he'd be a weathy man!

Don't forget, it's not just criminal law, you get contract law (car dealers) and family law (baby mamas) - it's a diverse and fulfilling practice!

I wonder if I could pass the Ohio bar . . . .

I mean we did just have a player who is on probation get in trouble and I think Hoke runs a tight ship.  Let the dust settle before we go calling out others for dumb mistakes.  However, let me also say F OSU

we need personal foul signs for MSU and arrest signs for Urban. the best part is that MSU personal fouls vs Michigan against arrests in a given year for OSU pretty much has to be a pick 'em given the current coaching regimes.

Clarke is a criminology major.  The BB gun he was using back then on top of the "MarketPlace" cafeteria belongs to fellow student and alleged clothing sizer Chris Carter.  Two to three people were seen taking target practice, but by the time authorities arrived, only Clarke was left.  He's getting a lot of field experience for the major in his freshman year.  11W folks are waiting for the urban legend to show up and lay down the law (and free up a roster spot for someone better in the minds of some of them).

Dominic Clark was an inherited problem, to be fair, but I can't wait to see what Meyer does about it to set the tone of how his reign in Columbus will go when it comes to problematic players. If it is no different than what happened in Gainesville, then the Columbus police will probably have their hands full.

But I don't feel like piling on. College kids do stupid things. (For that matter, so do adults, but usually they've been burned enough to know better.)

Anyway, I hope Clark gets his life together (as I do Stonum,) and I don't think it reflects poorly on Meyer if Clark isn't kicked off the team. Regardless, my thoughts on this won't affect what will happen, and it doesn't matter either way.

The only thing I'll say is that at times this board can be awfully sanctimonious about the sins at Michigan State and Ohio State and the SEC, etc., etc., etc.

College kids are gonna be college kids. It's the discipline handed down that a coach can control and the ensuing problems that truly show how tight of a ship a coach runs.

yeah bb gun out the dorm room (sounds like something a college kid would do) and a traffic violation (def. something any one could do) doesnt sound like a huge deal IMO.
