There was no reason stated for the press conference, scheduled for 2pm Thursday.

Anyone have any guesses?

Going to the Dolphins perhaps.

Figured it affects us somewhat, being that it is our opening game next year.

EDIT: Now they are saying it might just be announcing which players are going to the draft and which are staying. That's not as exciting as I wanted it to be.

I mean, his legend would be completely solidified if he went to South Bend right?

Winning 3 titles isn't enough... he needs to do it while handcuffed...

Notre Dame Fans are stoopid.

He's going to ND!!!!!11!!!one!!!!!

Seriously though, could this be to announce what players plan on leaving/staying? I don't see him going pro, especially with 0 rumblings about it. Although now would be the time to do so, after winning another NC.

"Twitter party's over: Alabama confirms Saban's presser is to announce Tide players who are staying/leaving early for NFL."

Per the CFTalk twitter feed. I was hoping for perhaps a trade for Les Miles which sent Saban back to his dream job.

He's probably announcing which of his bench players suffered career-ending injuries on Bourbon Street and are voluntarily giving up their scholarships to make way for his incoming class.

Roll Tide.

He'll also announce which players are suddenly unableto play football ever again and will, regrettably, be issued Medical Hardships so that there will be room..dah I mean, opportunities, for other young players to receive scholarships.

Saban is going to reproduce by binary fission in front of a live media audience. His clone will then proceed to Notre Dame to lead them back to the promised land. Oh, wait . . .
