Sorry man, I just dont see the Lions winning this game. I'd give them a chance against anyone else in the NFC (or AFC for that matter), but the Saints in the Superdome are like LSU in Baton Rouge. Basically unbeatable.
Actually, I like the Saints to win it all.

A team with absolutely, positively, nothing to lose. I just see the Lions defensive line having a huge impact on this game. I said all year, that I wanted to see Cunningham gameplan with everything on the line. I think that whole unit, is going to see this game as all on them. I'll tell you this right now, if Stafford plays like he has the last 3 weeks, we'll win this game. And again, this team has NOTHING to lose, and have a lot of weapons on offense.
Lions 48
Saints 38

Defensive Line impact will be committing many stupid penalties.

Defense impact? give up 38 points?

Lions were undone by stupid penalties(personal fouls) and a few bad calls(OPI against Burleson 3x) and one bad non call(missed false start on FG block). The Lions were actually within 2 yards from tying the game at 4th quarter until Titus Young decided to shove Saints defender that cost them the field position.
The Lions should've won the game if they had kept their composure and they did it without Suh(suspension), Fairley(after 3rd series), Delmas, Houston and Berry.
The Lions are the NFC team other than NOLA and GB that no one wants to face because of Stafford/Megatron and their defense is much better than most people give credit for. For the first time since 1st half of Thanksgiving game, the Lions will field the original starting lineup. Having Delmas back will be huge because of the impact that he has made this season. The Lions passing defense went down to the shitter as soon as they lost Delmas to MCL injury. With Delmas, the Lions allowed 210 passing yards and without him, they allowed 338 passing yards. That's a good 128 yards difference. That's huge. With Delmas back, I expect the secondary to be much improved.

If the Lions are clicking on all cylinders, then they have a chance. But against Drew Brees and that offense? In the Superdome no less? I could see the Lions losing by 2 touchdowns. But I do hope the Lions pull it out. Being a Bucs fan (sigh), I don't particularly care for the Saints.
Steelers will absolutely wreck the Broncos.

All the way. That is all.

Dey aight!

if the Lions beat the Saints, they will play the 49ers in the next round..
January 6th, 2012 at 8:18 PM ^
Lions are the 6 seed, Green Bay plays the lowest remaining seed, so yes they would go to Lambeau
January 6th, 2012 at 8:19 PM ^
With the spread:
Lions, broncos, giants, and bengals
January 6th, 2012 at 8:20 PM ^
I would take Green Bay over Baltimore, the Ravens secondary has been a little suspect, which is a death sentence against Aaron Rodgers and his stable of receivers
January 6th, 2012 at 8:24 PM ^
Lions over Saints, Lions over Packers, Lions over Niners, Lions over Patriots.
Hey, a guy can dream, right?

I rlly wish I could pick the Lions to win but the saints are just too much and they dominated us in the regular season
January 6th, 2012 at 9:17 PM ^
Really? I guess you didnt really watch the game. We had a shot to beat them even with all the dumb pentalies we had. If we can play the same way minus the penalties i say we beat them
January 7th, 2012 at 8:17 AM ^
Yeah a lot of those penalties were dumb, and a lot were questionable calls by the officials.....but what you think it's going to be any different? Maybe the dumb ones will disappear, but the refs are going to call everything on Detroit, whether it's really a penalty or not
January 6th, 2012 at 9:52 PM ^
Wow. I hope you are right. I just don't see it happening.
January 6th, 2012 at 10:23 PM ^
HELL YEAH, Lions pull the upset ....Lock it...
January 6th, 2012 at 10:42 PM ^
Realisitcally, they had 115 penalty yards against the Saints earlier in the year and had over 100 yards of offense negated as a result of penalties as well. They can score with this team and with Suh, Houston and Delmas back this time, I give them a shot.

that the NFL re-seeds?
If Pitt and Houston win, its Bal v. Hou and Pitt v. NE.
January 7th, 2012 at 2:28 AM ^
Normally I'd give the Lions a 10-15 percent chance. The knowledge that the officials WILL be clearly biased toward New Orleans lowers it 1-2 percent.
