Kevin Grady will Play on Saturday

Kevin Grady is playing on Saturday.  Thoughts?  Personally, I think a one-game suspension is way too short, regardless of how impotent our running game has been so far.

I think it is too early to predict if he will have a career in the NFL. I'd like to see him produce in college.

Ha! Figured I'd carry on the tradition of being a dick today.

Seriously, I would have said minimum two games. I don't know what RR has done behind the scenes and I am against the "make a public example to set the tone of the program" crowd. But ideally I think it is too short and practically, I don't think he will be a big difference maker (hoping I'm wrong).

Grady gets 1 game.

Fulmer suspends Colquitt for 5 games.

 

Something tells me that Fulmer doesn't have any interest in winning his namesake trophy in the future. That's not fooling around. Maybe there was something else to it, but the discrepancy is interesting.

We didn't know about Arrington's stair running until the heartwarming story in the Snooze.  Perhaps one will be forthcoming about Grady.

Plus, I'd heard that whatever RichRod did, it would be nothing compared to the ass-kicking he'd get from Dad Grady.

Besides whats already been posted, is there any thing to back up Coach Rod's one-game decision?  Anybody have an idea if its usually a two game or four game suspension.  I disagree with arguments, heard on the radio today, that the penalty should have at least been half the season if not more.  I was just wondering if anyone knew what other coaches have done...

harmed the football team?  I think that football punishment should be related to football team.  The State of Michigan is punishing him for the illegal things he did.

You have to preserve order.  Just about every coach tries to do that.  Not to say that all football players are thugs or anything, but if you don't maintain order for infraction of team rules or breaking the law, then you'll have Thug U in no time and the players will be lose all sense of discipline like at State Penn.

I found it rather odd that the ESPN guys never discussed this situation and its impact on the fact that virtually only freshmen running backs played against Utah.  I really don't think they did their homework; just showed up and called the game.  As for the length of the suspension, I think it's fine.  As someone else posted, the state will deal with the real punishment here.
