I share your concerns, but I take solace in the fact that Stanford is probably on the way down after Luck leaves, while UM has a stable of top-notch kids coming in and a clear uptick.  Smart kids want to win, and the difference in UM vs. Stanford education isn't enough to basically promise yourself 2-3 lean years as the Cardinals regroup.

...not sure that is a great sign.  Or a bad one for that matter.

For the record, I am wearing a Montana Griz shirt today and am about to buy a ski pass in Whitefish, MT.

Leaders And Best

Garnett has been all class and possibly one of my favorite recruits of the last 10 years.  If you get a chance, you should listen to his interview on Washington sports radio where he explains how he could turn down the home school where his dad was a star.

I really think he is going to go Stanford unfortunately though.  Special kid in the mold of players like Dhani Jones, Zoltan Mesko, Shane Battier, and Andrew Luck.

I'm just going on what the insiders say. TomVH continues to say Michigan has a "very good chance" and won't guarantee it, but repeatedly makes us the leader, Eric Magnuson is good friends with him and continues to say we lead, and Garnett is quoted as saying he hates Ohio. None of the signs from insiders point to him favoring Stanford or another school. I don't want to get my hopes up, but Michigan seems to still be the leader.

He will be blue soon, no sense in wearing a michigan shirt if you are not supporting them. I know people are gonna respond to this by saying he's not in the bag yet and he could be trying to mess with people. His interviews are sincere and loves the coaches and Erik Mag. Its not like michigan sucks academically. I know Stanford is better academically and football is second to schooling for Garnett. But Dammit THIS IS MICHIGAN FERGODSAKES and he will be in a winged helmet next year!

Yeah, some of the tweets people post are worthless but this isn't one of those tweets. It's a good sign and I do think that he will end up at Michigan.

Erik Magnuson did an interview for us over at Tremendous and Erik said that from talking to Garnett, he thinks Michigan's chances of landing him are very high. The interview isn't up yet, but I talked about it in yesterdays a few minor recruiting notes.

What if he wears a sweatervest tomorrow?  Does that mean he's leaning towards Akron?

A visor would be South Carolina or Oklahoma.

Flood pants would have been Penn State a few months ago.

White Hat = LSU

No jacket in freezing weather?  Michigan!

lets just rejoice that a top tier recruit is sporting michigan gear at the UA game.. hopefully it means more than that, but we will see in a few days.

Its not as big of a deal as it may seem. I know when I was looking at schools and I would visit I would get a shirt and then wear it... Didn't mean it was my favorite place, matter of fact I still wear a shirt from a place that I hated when I visited.

Debbie Downer is here, but every time I feel like a HS kid is talking a lot about one school or doing things like wearing a t-shirt wear he knows there is going to be press/attention...I feel like the majority of the time they end up committing to the other school to add that "shock factor."
