A 7-5 Iowa team gets to tangle with a 9-3 Oklahoma team.

As much as I love the B1G since my alma mater is in it, I must say that this game should not look terribly promising for Hawkeye fans. I dare say that Oklahoma holds answers to football questions that you never asked.

I hate to say it, but I went Oklahoma in the pool.  I just don't see the Hawkeyes pulling this one out unless there is a case of the trots that has been going around of late.

ESPN at 10 PM EST. Be there.

Not looking good for the B1G here so far on the first drive sampling.

EDIT: That sucks for Whaley, not many players had to work as hard as he did to get to that point (for those of you who remember his story from the OU vs. FSU game).

Iowa will not let you Fred Astaire your way to the line of scrimmage...

EDIT: James Vandenberg has to be pissed at himself - how do you get a personal foul on the pick that YOU THREW?

Oklahoma kicks a medium-range missile to negate the potential of awesome field position for Iowa. It sort of makes up for dicking around at the foot of  the end zone on that last drive.

This is one of those games that seems to guarantee the Big 10 a losing bowl record each year. 7-5 Iowa is playing preseason #1 Oklahoma, which also was one game away from being Big 12 champ. Iowa wasn't even close to the Big 10 title. They can play tough, but ultimately they're at best the Big 10 #5 team this year. The Big 10 should get serious about getting itself better (more equal) matchups in bowl season.
