How many Michigan fans will be in New Orleans?

Submitted by ThadMattasagoblin on

Any guesses.....

Judging by fast ticket sales for Michigan and slow ticket sales for VT I'd guess 50,000 Michigan fans.

Will be heading over morining of the game with vinsacco (see above) around the 7-8 am mark. Anyone heading that way on I-10 feel free to hop in for the 3 hr party ride. First game for my brother and I, can't wait!!! Go Blue!!

Edit: My neighbor 4 doors down and his wife, plus one other UM fan from the gym (former ECHL Pensacola Ice Pilot player), so that's 7 from Pensacola that I know will be there.

Wow!!! Not many folks going for a few days of partying?!! Rooms in the Quarter are much cheaper than they were when tix first went on sale... I'm staying at least 3 days... Might Hit Biloxi on the way back.

I'll be there, with friends. I ordered a U of M ascot; I fear it will not arrive in time, though. I was looking forward to the thought of wearing an ascot, period, and, well, who cares about sartorial dilemmas; it's New Orleans. It's going to be an excellent time, especially if there is a small township's worth of M people down there (35-50k).

The NY Giants, Kentucky Wildcats, and prolly others are "Big Blue."

We are "Blue". As in, "Go Blue!" Note the difference between this and "Go Big Blue!"

Pet peeve. Sorry.

I will be there with 3 others.  One of them is actually a friend who is an Arkansas fan, who I have forced to become a Michigan fan by giving him a ticket to the game.

Yes unfortunate that I live in the heart of hokie nation. An I will be riding down with them but the whole time I will sing hail to the victors. So by the time we get there they will be michigan fans. We are leaving Friday so we will be there for new years. I can't wait go blue!!

Me and a friend of mine will both be down there for our fist michigan game. Have always dreamed of going to the Big House but this game should be a good start. Sitting in section 613
